Candy Bar Have or Not?

Hi Ladies I need your advice. I want to have a candy bar at our wedding. My friend/coworker had there wedding this year with a candy bar. Now my FI does not want it to seem like we are copying them. I wanted to have all the old school candy that I had when I was a little girl. Like: boston bake beans, lemon heads, Johns apple seeds, sugar daddies/babbies, candy cigs, penny candy..etc. Yall get my drift. : )So do you think I should still push this issue b.c we gonna have totally diff candy then they had and plus our wedding next year? What do you think of using nice candy bags vs. place/name cards? - that way everyone gets a bag (my friends wedding people took all the bags so by the end of the line people had to put candy on plates.TIA Ladies!! TGIF !!

I think you should go for what you already have your heart set on.  The ole skool candies sound really cute and I think it is an excellent idea to use the candy bags instead of name cards.

Everyone is doing candy bars now. I would just do it. You won't have the same candy and if these people remember they had a candy bar, they may evny the fact that you went old school (which I might add is a fly idea) and wish they had done so. I would do it.

I'm having the exact same dilemma but we are choosing to go right ahead and have the candy bar. If this is what you want at your wedding then have it. It wasn't an original idea from her so it shouldn't be a big deal. If she is really your friend, she won't care about that. The candy bags instead of the place cards sound good.

Hi Lady05:  My FI and I are going to a wedding next month and they just told us that are having a cupcake station.  So are we.   My FI and I know we reserved a cupcake station from February when we signed our contract with our vendor.  They just told us about theirs in August.  My advise stick to your plan.  Make yours look different from theirs!
