Jumping the broom 2

For all you ladies doing this tradition who are you having bring it down the aisle? Or are you storing it under the seat in the church...what will you all be doing?  I think it would be cute to have a young man bring it down but Im not sure if this would be weird.

I don't think that it is not weird to have a young guy bring it down the aisle. But I plan on just having the broom already down there.

I will be having one of our ushers bring it down the aisle.

The broom situation is a little different for me. It was important to have my best friend that I have known since high school, and was even my roommate at one point, to be in the wedding. The problem is my best friend is male. Although my FI likes and gets along with him very well, he already had plenty of male friends to ask to be groomsmen. So I am having the broom already be up at the front where my best friend will be standing after he walks down the isle. He will strategicly not be placed in the bridesmaid line, but will still be able to stand on my side. When its time to jump the broom, he will bring the broom up and we will jump. It was not only a good way to find a role for him in the wedding, but also have someone important be apart of a tradition that is special to me. I also think it would be cute to have a young man bring it down the isle- he can dress identical to the ring bear if you are having one. That would probably be my second choice if I wasn't already doing it the way that I am.

I'm just having the ushers bring it down I guess. I don't know what's going to work best so I'm not sure. We're not getting married at a church so there's no bench to put it under
