Reading in ceremony....

FI and I had our 1st marriage counseling with our Bishop yesterday and right at the beginning he ask about the ceremony plans.  I advised him that we will have a reading at the ceremony and he asked at what part of the ceremony will this take place.  Hmmmm...that is something I hadn't thought about..I've only been to 1 wedding with a reading and it was a letter from the parents to the groom read by the bride's friend as her mother was escorted in.  I was thinking since our reading would be in regards to our love for each other and becoming 1 that it might be nice to do it while the unity candle is being lit.  I guess my question is did anyone have a reading during their ceremony or are you thinking of having one?  If so what part are you putting it in?

We are having my cousin read a scripture from the bible.  I believe it's going to be in the beginning right after I walk in and our officiant says a few opening words.

Our ceremony is a bit different, 2 faiths, but we are having the reading after opening words which is right after the processional.

My ideas where with Lite and Sweet. I'm also considering a reading while my mother is escorted in, if not that it will be pre recorded with music playing in the background.

Thanks ladies..I am leaning towards in the beginning after the processional right before I walk in..I was thinking of having soft music playing in the background our Music Director has agreed to play for us.

I read a poem at a wedding and it was right after the brides entrance.  I'm having a reading and I'm thinking of doing it right before the unity candle because of what it symbolizes.  I'm having a poe titled "The Angel" read in rememberance of my father and sister.
