MAD REALLY REALLY MAD!!!!!!!!

So FI and I go meet with the wedding planner and it wasn't good news. Our wedding number went from 75 to 200 and that was cool. I was told back in June it was $300 to have my wedding out side on the golf course but she liked us so it was free the only thing we had to get was our chair's.. The room we really wanted wasn't availiable so we took a smaller room  because it was only suppost to be 75 guest. Well yeasterday we meet again and all of a sudden it's $500 to have our wedding out side and we was told we have to get another room because of the number of guest, ok! What room can we get? OOh we don't have any more rooms for June only July. So you mean to tell me we have to change out wedding date? July 17? (FI BDAY) I don't know what to do I really want a June wedding!!!!!Am I over reacting? It just seem like everything we was told has changed even down to the prices. I feel like it's to late to look any where else and I still want  a out door wedding!! :-(

    If you really want that date, then start Monday with some calls for a new venue.  Does fi have a problem with wedding being on his bday? What I have been doing with contacting vendors, is alot of emailing and I save them. So if any crap jump off, I have the emails. We had a few reception locations tell us one thing in person, and then I email later and all of a sudden they said something different. So, I know then to scratch or keep documentation of our transactions. What about the last weekend in May before June? I'm sorry, hope you find a resolution soon.

    that sucks!Probably what happened is that they weren't anticipating that big of a jump, so they were prepared to let you do it for free if it were a few, but that's quite the leap and they can't accommodate that.Is there a reason you really want June? July isn't too far off--just a few weeks. You can still do everything else you wanted, just a different date. Besides, June weddings are so passe. =)

    FI think its cool to have our wedding on his Bday. I don't know why I want a June wedding so bad...it just feels right. I will be emailing for now on !!! To keep track of what's being said!

    I'm sorry that happened. If you really want June, then I say you should go for June. I agree with the pp, you may want to start checking other venues ASAP. The fact that the room you originally wanted wasn't available and you settled for a smaller room, tells me that it can't hurt to check elsewhere. Everything will work out. You will have your beautiful out door June wedding! :-)

    If you're not willing to change ur date.. how about cutting down guest list or checking out other venues?? I had an ultra high guest list also but towards the end the number dwindled down and everyone who rsvp did not show up. Just something to keep in mind.
