It happened to me!

My cousin just sent her rsvp in with her two kids added (that I did not invite).I know I gotta call her out on this, but I am dreading it. I know she's at work now...maybe I'll just leave her a VM...AND she rsvp'd for the shower and never showed up!grrrr....Anyway...what are your 'it happened to me' stories? Those wedding fables you hear everyone talk about that actually happened to you?

haha! I wish I could send it back, but it was online. No Alf, she didn't call to say she couldn't make it. AND I had to call her to get her rsvp in the first place because she lost her invite when she moved. I swear...She's the last person I thought would do this, too! She's very prissy and I expected her to be on pointe with the etiquette. Guess not.

I don't know if this counts, but every now and then it hits me that I'm getting married.  Like, I had a conversation with a friend of mine a few minutes ago that is married and we talked about hyphenating or changing my last name, and I'm like, yeah, that's something that I have to think about, because I'm getting married.  I've gotten so wraped up in the wedding planning that when the realization sets in that all of this planning if for a marriage, it's like whoa!  I've heard people say that before, and I guess it's finally happened to me.  Rhodesign, your situation is what I fear will happen to me.  You try to be polite and PC about it, and then folks turn around and make things uncomfortable.

oooh, missevans!!! That's terrible!! My problem is pretty compared to that! I am so afraid of something like that happening at my wedding. Did you get it back?I talked to her and it's okay. She figured she couldn't bring them and said it's okay if she doesn't (ummm, then why did you rsvp for them?).  And she missed the shower because she was called in to work. We cool now. =)

We are putting adult reception on our invitations for that very reason. Call her on it, that's rude.

My cousin RSVPd for himself and his BOO- a woman that he is not married to & yes he is married!
