Hey there and thanks for the compliment :.)I'll answer as many of your questions here but always feel free to email me @ mzzmodiva @ yahoo with any other questions that you may have. You can also find me on FB with that email address. We invited 75 people, intimate family and friends, and ended up traveling with a group of 20, there were an additional 10 family members from the island that came to the wedding. The resort guests we did not have to pay for but the resort charged $50pp for the outside guests, not bad considering that they had the same perks as anyone else at the resort for the entire day. Although all of our immediate family came, I know that many more wanted to but were unable to travel due to the economy. We chose not to have an AHR because everyone that would have been been on the guest list was at the wedding. Dee and I were together for over 8 years before we got married so we really wanted something intimate and about "us". Our decision to have a "DW" was also financial, so having a second reception at home would have been costly. The events that surrounded our wedding included a welcome dinner/rehearsal the night before for all of our guests. We also had the "free" reception at the resort, including their cake and since no one booked a private that night, we were upgraded to that space, so it ended up being private after all. We didnt have cocktails on the beach, or a poolside reception again based on saving money. Didnt see the point in paying an additional $15pp for drinks on the beach, when we could just go to the bar and enjoy ourselves which is exactly what we did...and yes, I was in my dress, lol!Again, let me know if you have any other questions!
