Cigar Bar Vent.. I got that daggone contract.. Well......

Ok y'all know last night I put a post up for the Cigar Bar for reception. alright, well we got the contract via email from the vendor. Now mind you FI already put down a deposit for this yesterday. I looked at that contract and I promise you FI is not going to like them numbers. I think he must have misunderstood the dude with the price because knowing V like I do, he would not agree to this price. He put the deposit down for the 2 hrs., 65 premium cigars and 1 Roller (or whatever that T word is they call cigar rollers in spanish). Now check this out:  un-band it is $650 if we use the Pvt Band $850. I don't think FI fully understood that it was going to be this much. I can think of something else to do with that money. FI really wants it and if he is going to pay the price tag then fine. But I be damned if I am paying that much for something I can't even use.

Wow. Now I don't know anything about cigars. So what are the bands used for? To hold it together? Why the hell these bands cost so damn much?? Now if they FI wants the cigars and is willing to pay to play then I say cool. Although I'm sure y'all could use that 900 bucks for something else, but I'm sure this is the one thing he really wants. Once again all I can say is WOW!!!

Yes, the cost can get a little pricey for cigar bars, but I say go for it if FI really wants it.  We are having a cigar bar too with a cigar roller and it was the one thing that FI had to have.  We have been searching for rollers and I think our wedding planner finally found us a vendor and she will negotiate the cost.  They sent me an example of what our custom bands will look like.   PIP.

I'm assuming the band would be something with your monogram or noting the day like you would find on a regular premium cigar.I just told FI the prices and he said that's what you would pay for a cigar out of a cigar shop for a good one. I quickly reminded him to not get any bright ideas.

See this is why I am having a hard time swallowing this price. The un band price is without the monogram band that goes around it. If you want to have the custom made band then it is higher. Again, if he is going to pay that price tag then he can go for it because I cannot see myself doing it at that price. I'll go holla at my girl in my hometown who works for King Edwards in Jacksonville and have her give my mom some to bring with her and I will just have the bands custom made. I think I can come out a lot cheaper in that retrospect. that thing blew me away.

Whew, pricey. BUT memorable. I say go for it if FI is dead set on it as I think it really is a unique item for the reception.Do you need 65? Will there be that many people getting them?

@ Cicy, it won't be that many people getting them but they do  not have a anything less than 65. I do not know if the package can be altered. I can ask and see if they changes the price any. But that is a lot of money Ci. I am trying to stay out the poor house lol.

I know sis.  I have my heart set on a photobooth and haggled the man down from the minimum 4 hours to 2 hours just so I could hit my line item amount. It can't hurt to ask.

The cigar bar is such a neat idea.  If FI is willing to have it, I say go for it.  I completely understand your concerns about the price, but I think that it would leave such a great impression on your guests.
