How do you go about taking engagement pics, and when do u take them???????

My wedding photographer does engagement photos so I added that as part of my package and you can pretty much take them whenever.  We didn't take ours until July and I'm getting married on 11/7.  It's not uncommon to take them a year before your wedding though.

Ours were a part of our photography package as well. We took ours in March and we are getting married June 2010.

We took ours at the six month mark. This allowed us to incorporate them into our save-the-dates and web site. We actually used the e-pics as a test run to see how we gelled with the photog. We also had FUN with our e-photos and let them reflect our personalities and interests... for example, FI plays the trumpet so we did shots of me watching him play; we love to dance so we tooks a couple shots dancing on the railroad tracks; and we even went into a local pizza shop for a bit.Stalk some bios to see what you might be interested in doing. I've seen everything from e-pics at the carnival (yes, on rides, too) to really romantic ones at the beach.GL

A lot of wedding photographers offer engagement pics in their packages.  I took mine in August and I'm getting married in May.  Some take them earlier or later but I wanted to make sure I took them in enough time to use the pics for STD's.
