Music (somewhat long kinda)

I need music for the ceremony and reception. My plan is to just put everything on my iPod and hit shuffle. My FAIL said that she will let me use her Bose system if I can figure out how to connect the iPod to it. There's nothing that can plug into and stream throught the hotel. The sound sytem in the hotel is for MUSAK. My ceremony will be short and simple. Just my MOH and me w/my brother escorting. I do not want the Wedding March. Absoultely not.The cocktail hour will be short & simple. Basically they hotel is just moving the chairs & some decor over to the reception room. So the guests will be nibbling and chatting.The reception will be a plated dinner with just music in the background. I have no clue what to play or how to hook up the iPod to the Bose. I will even use my laptop if I have to.Any suggestions?

I used my laptop for our reception, and hooked it to the venues speaker system. I used a Y-cord that I purchased on ebay for about $3--I believe that would work for an I-pod as well.

that's a great tip Jonezy, that will probably work for kimmy but if not, as another alternative, you may want to page the following AAW knotties who've recently married in September and ask them for their ceremony/reception music playlist: braxongirl,  missevans, christynah also, these AAW knotties have their playlists selected already for their upcoming weddings so you may wanna page them too: mrclintonslady & pinkpanther_truck HTH!!
