to get your marriage license? my friend is going to risk it on a saturday when the pierce county office is open. OMH, how long did it take to get yours? Or girls who have theirs already? Should she expect like 10 minutes? 2 hours?

Depends on how long the line is, but it took me longer to fill out the paper work than to wait in line. We were in and out in under 20 minutes.

I couldn't find anything online, but really it's just 2 forms front and back. I'm being a baby. It probably took me 5 minutes to fill out the forms. And the lady that was helping us was suuuuper slow.

It took us about 30 minutes because we didn't know the Seattle office doesn't take checks and had to find and ATM. :)You can't print it up before hand I don't believe. They print it up with your names on it.

In Thurston County (where I filied) you could fill out all the forms online and submit them so that when you got there the office just printed them and had us sign them. Took a total of ten minutes.

Pierce county takes cash and checks. Both times I was there (to apply and then to get a certified copy) I was in and out within 10 minutes. However, I went on a Tuesday around 11am, so who knows what happens on the weekends! Congratulations to your friend!!

Ours took about 10 minutes start to finish. Might depend on the state and how busy they are, though. HTH!

we went to the pierce county auditors office during the middle of the week at about 3:30 or 4:00 and it took about 10 minutes. I don't know if I'd go on a Saturday... That's a scary thought

i was pretty sure we could print before (snohomish county) but i'm not positive now. there was one person ahead of us in line, but the guy swore us all in together and filled out paper work together to speed up the process (so really, we didn't wait at all). if DH and i could follow instructions (last name first, then first name.....city, not city/state..etc). we would've been done in less than 10 minutes.
