Need Motivation

The closer the time nears, the more stuff I have to do. I have just begun my 2nd class in grad school and I am already late with my first weeks assignments. I am so consumed with wedding stuff up to my neck. And I cannot get my work done at work....cuz I'm on here!!!!! I guess I need to make a checklist huh? Where to begin???I think I'm gonna pass some stuff off to my cousin (who has offered to help) to DIY so she can worry about it.

Definitely enlist the help of others so you don't become overwhelmed. I will pray that everything works out for you. You can start by looking at some pre-made checklist and then you can add the stuff that you are missing

Time to delegate. Take her up on that offer. Let us know how we can help. Use the checklist here on the knot. That's what I started using since I got out of the wedding planner contract. It is pretty helpful.

Hi Kimmy: I am with you on all the stuff to do for our up coming wedding. I am also getting married in December. I have to be ahead because I am shipping things down to the venue.  I did a few DIY things because I wanted our wedding to be different. I was up Friday night until 2 am...making a song list for when our guest eat dinner. :)While you are at work you should work on your school work. Limit your access to theknot during the day.  I dont get on until the night.  Yes, a check list would help you make sure you catch everything...thought of but missed.

I need a song list for dinner!!!! That's one of the things that I am stuck on. You mind sharing that song list? I am getting married in another state so I have to have ish done to. I'm getting ready to head out to Michael's & Walmart to look for stuff to DIY it. My cousin is going with....I told her that I'm gonna give her a list to make sure I stay on task. When I get the supplies for my favors, I can give her that to do.

Kimmy:  The dinner song list is something I thought of.  I dont think most people do this.  But it is a good idea. I got songs off of the bestman soundtrack, some Robin Thicke..can you believe, Maxwell-womans work, Noone and John Legend- I Love, You Love.  The other songs were songs FI and I love.  So pick songs that you too love or that FI love.  I only picked 18 songs on a 80 minute cd.  That should be enough songs to set a good vibe.I was back and forth to Michelles and the dollar store.  I Have fun!

OMG, I remember grad school and could not fathom being in grad school AND planning a wedding…an out of state wedding at that!!! I tilt my hat to you on that one…yea, its time to put your cousin to work!! I know we think that nothing is more important than our wedding date, but you don’t want to mess up in school, that’s wasted money…make sure you past your self. How about for every 2 hours you devote to school, you devote 30 minutes to wedding planning (or something similar depending on you work load). That way you can keep a balance!!
