Talking about your wedding too much???

I have found that there are some people who could care less about the details of your wedding. It kind of hurts that none of my friends even ask me anything, so thank God for my knottie friends. My sister even told me I talked about it too much, but forgot the fact that I listen to every conversation about her loser crush LOL!Has anyone told you that you talk about the wedding too much or responded very dry to the conversation?

I ususally don't bring up my wedding plans unless someone specifically ask "how are the wedding plans going" otherwise, I just keep it to myself and my knottie sistas...

Oh yesssss! It makes me feel like I'm rubbing it in to those who are not married. I feel bad sometimes I come around them and they know all I'm talking about is my wedding. But they know I waited for so long. I think we all expect people (especially close friends an relatives) to be happy for us and join in on the fun, our fun. I have found out that they don't see it that way. So, I try to do things alone, but then they are upset when you don't include them. I just don't know what to do.

I feel you! We are happy, and have every right to be! The bad thing is that everyone will not be as happy as we are! They wish like were like us! LOL jst j/k I do understand my bff said to me "we always talk about your wedding" I told her she should have told me to shut up and lets talk about something different!

My sisters have NO choice but to listen to me talk about my extravaganza! My friends however, I try to show some sympathy and not talk about it all the time to them.

I don't have that problem with other people but with myself. I think I'm going to put my plans on hold for a while, but I'll still be talking about yours. Weddings like babies, are happy occasions, but some don't like the joy-joy all the time, shame.

you are now officially a AAW KNOTTIE if you get a dry response regarding details of your wedding from others!!...hahaha...girl you will get this reaction for er'body whether they are your long-time friends, co-workers and even fam members...it's just the way it is and to be honest it is true - no one is more excited or interested in YOUR wedding than YOU are...nothing wrong with that at all...so whenever you need to talk about wedding stuff, just bring it to us cuz we will all be just as excited for you because we're all in the same boat...LOL!

I agree with clross, I don't mention it unless someone asks me something other than that l'm pretty tight lipped. The one thing that we all know is that weddings and funerals bring out the worst in ppl.

I try to limit the wedding talk. I sent a few of my friends a pic of the civil ceremony dress and a few of them didn't even bother to reply. I do get a mixture of jealousy and resentment from some friends so I'm trying to have God handle it before I do! lol

I'm glad I have my AAW Knotties!  Nobody is trying to hear it from me about this wedding!  They're just waiting on me to tell them what to do, it's very stressful.  So when I have a vent about why the pastor for the church we're ALLEGEDLY getting married at (LOL) doesn't return my calls, I have somewhere to go... And yes that's true.  He isn't returning my calls either. >:0(

Sadly...my own two sisters are very dry when I try to talk to them about the wedding plans...oh well. They better get on board!...or else!!

No1 has ever flat out told me that I talk about the wedding too much, but when they respond dry to the conversation like that, I know that it's time to change the subject.  I try not to talk about it too much, but I'm so excited.  I have a co-worker that's getting married a month before me, so I always try to find her whenever I feel the urge to talk about it...but she's been out sick AHEM (she's on the aaw board)...and I've been going through withdrawl lately.

I keep my plans strictly here on the knot. If anyone ask then I give them some of the details. But I do not go all out to discuss it at all. Ain't much to really talk about because ours is pretty much planned except for some loose ends. I am just ready for April to get here already.

Girl I must say I have a lot to say to this post. I initially had 4 BM (FSIL, my cousin, my sons god-mother, and a friend)..My sons god mother was suppose to be my MOH and havent helped me do anything and hasnt even got her dress. Her nor my friend have yet to say anything about the wedding or helping me. So I went through the stages of wanting to just cancel the wedding and elope. But then I thought about it "Its about me and my FI" Im going on with my wedding. They still havent said anything about the wedding or their dresses. Do you think its ok for me to replace them?
