Today was bonus day at work so I sent in a bunch of deposits, signed contracts, faxed contracts, mailed contracts, etc. Today, I finalized/booked/paid deposits on: Florist (Aria Style) Caterer (Daniel's Catering) Photobooth (1-2-3- Foto) Reception music (The Craig Lawrence Band) Invitations (Izzy Girl) I already booked/paid for at least part if not all of: Reception venue (Mt. Baker Club) Cake baker (New Renaissance) Photographer (La Luz Photography) Dress (Alvina Valenta from La Belle Elaine's) I am feeling like we have things pretty well in hand at this point. My big focus this week is to figure out favors, research hair/makeup people and DOCs, and nail down the HM destination. We also picked up three more cake samples today to finalize our cake flavors. What a yummy task

Here is the final verdict! Top tier (we are cutting it since our baker offers a free anniversary cake): Chocolate-Orange Dark chocolate cake, drizzled with a Grand Marnier syrup, layered with an orange-dark chocolate mousse, enriched with candied orange bits. Second tier: Citron White satin cake is topped with a layer of traditional, English-style lemon curd, homemade with fresh eggs, sweet cream butter, and lemon zest, and then filled with an airy lemon mousse. Third tier: This elegant dessert has been reinterpreted for your wedding cake. Moist, light, fresh banana cake topped with smooth caramel and a dark rum-caramel mousse. Bottom tier: This is a custom flavor for us. It's chocolate cake with chocolate bits baked in, topped with a layer of chocolate ganache, topped with coffee-infused white chocolate mousse with toffee bits mixed in. It's my favorite one and I don't even like coffee!
