Shapewear

Ladies, In exactly 1 month (4/9).. I walk down the aisle. thing are flowing pretty smoothly, but I am really concerned about shapewear. My dress is pretty fitted and I do need a garment to smooth out the bumps & rolls (LOL!!), but I don't want to be sucked into something I can't breathe or move in.

We have a HOT DJ for the reception and I plan on dropping it, but need a garment I can move in...any suggestions?

This is a great question, unfortunately, I do not have answers, I'm looking for answers to this question myself.  I'm looking forward to the responses.

I'm with you TamTam - I have no info to share,  but hope someone on this board does.  Because I don't want anything uncomfortable,  but I also want something that does what it's supposed to do!  Laughing

I haven't tried Spanx.  It's quite expensive, I wonder if her Assets brand (sold at Target) is the same or nearly the same quality?

Spanx is awesome but there is a cheaper brand they make. I can't remember the brand but it's in Target, I think.

Oh!  That's good to know.  Thanks for the info ladies.  I may have to try the one at Target.  But does it roll up on you?

Spanx is hands down the best! Sara Blakely does have a less expensive brand at Target but it doesn't control or hold up nearly as well. Hanes makes one too but...nothing comes close to Spanx. And the nice thing about Spanx is that they hold up well enough to wear over and over and over again. I had 3 different styles of Spanx that I had for 2 1/2 years. When I first had my son, I wore them under slacks, dresses, suits, sundresses, jeans...pretty much everything. And yes... I could still twerk, drop, and whine. LOL!

The line at Target works great, it doesn't last after many washes but if you are buying to use it for the first time on the wedding day, I say go for it

Also Maidenform has a great selection at decent prices and they have sales all the time
