photography pirces?

I am wondering about how much is a decent/realistic price for a good photography package. In the package I'm looking for:2 photogs (or assistant or whatev)full day (not limited on hours)cd with edited picsproof albumone of those really nice picture booksmaybe some print or album credit? There are so many photogs and all the packages seem so different and so I'm a little overwhelemed.TIA : )

Full day is going to be a little hard. The will usually limit it to 12 hours. I would say you were looking at 3-4K for this type of package. Make sure you qualify with the photographer that you want *all* pictures edited. They won't do it by default.

Ditto. For all of that it's going to be around 4K.

Just a couple of notes:2 photogs (or assistant or whatev)An assistant isn't always a second shooter. If you want two shooters, you need to make sure they define what their "assistant" does.cd with edited picsYou'll also need the rights to reproduce if you want to make your own prints, etc.I think it's hard to give you a "decent" price when the quality can differ greatly from one photog to another. I know in NJ/NYC there are people that charge $2k for this type of package and ones that charge $10k. (And that's not to say the $10k person is always worth that much--sometimes their name has a lot more value than their photo quality IMO.)

I agree with PP's you're looking at around 4K. I have 8 hours with my photog. She's bringing an assistant (but I don't think a 2nd shooter) and I get a DVD of edited images (w/ right to re-print), plus I had a free engagement session w/CD, but no albums, and no picture books and I'm paying just over $2700.

Ditto previous posts. I pretty much have that package with my photog and I am paying 4300, that includes tax.

I agree with Melissa. Prices can vary a lot. I found it tough for photogs to give up the rights to edited pics. here's what ours costs and what is included: 2 photogs (both shooters) full day (around 8-10 hours)** this is because it's the off season cd with all images but NOT edited engagement session 40 pg coffee table book enagement pic w/matting for signing at wedding Cost: $5,600+tax
