money fustrations

Anyone having to beg, borrow, steal to pay for these expenses? I don't know about you ladies but I am starting to feel the burn. Especially because we are getting a place together at the same time. We are cutting back where we can but as 20 somethings just starting out it just seems like such a struggle. Just venting, this will pass, I guess just need to be of good courage. Anyone going through the same kinda thing?

Girl I here you. We actually decided not to do a register and just do a wishing well. That way we can atleast get some of the money we spending back. Shoot we have 200 guest so if 200 people give atleast $10 then that will give us maybe a third of what we spent. Not much, but it's something. I feel you on this one.

Yea we are not doing a registry either Emily Post says you can't ask for money but its okay if people ask your attendants and parents for them to say the couple needs money and gift cards but that any gift is welcome.

I totally understand. This wedding stuff can be expensive. But yes, we have gotten financial help from a couple of my immediate fam members, even my bff's & his bff's. It would definitely be a struggle doing it by ourselves.

However, instead of choosing things for the wedding, I've taken time out to figure out how to cut costs, as well as realizing what's a necessity & what we can live without on our day. It'll come together for you!

All you can do is start with your basics and try to make them as beautiful as you want them to be within  your budget. Don't let the "industry" suck your pockets dry b/c that's what happens to mose engaged couples {myself included} once you start splurging it's hard to restrain yourself b/c you want everything, but we can't always have what we want but we sure can try. The most important thing is that you're starting your life together
