? about Thank You notes

Do we send a TY card to everyone that gave a gift or to everyone that came? I will handwrite my TY notes and make it personable. What's your opinion on who to send TY notes to?

I plan on sending one to everyone. Someone brought this up before and everyone seems to only be sending it the those who gave a gift.  I guess in my family everyone has always done it the way I intend to....

I plan on sending to everyone who comes. Some people are really making a sacrifice to travel and I want them to know that I appreciate that

I sent one to everyone who gave a gift and/or a card. That was the only way I could keep track. I didn't do a guest book, only a pic frame signing.

Since I am having a Destination Wedding... This definitely sounds like I what I would do.. But I was thinking of sending thank you notes with something like "wine glass" or something.. I really want to give a nice favor, but I dont want to give something that I know will be destroyed on the way home.
