    Q: How did you pick that day, does it have a special meaning for you two and did FI help choose the day?  my FI parents live in Iran so they come to visit in the summer from late june until early sept...I picked a day that was around the time they visit but I didn't want the day to be right in the middle of the summer when wedding are at their busiest....

     Q: How many times have you change that day?  it hasn't changed but I wished I changed it earlier to around oct. when I thought about it in the beginning since I only picked that day to be convient to his parents traveling....

    my sister tried to talk me into pushing it back after the planning has started but I know if we push it back...we'll keep pushing it back like she did with her engagment....back to the point where she isn't even engaged any more ...I didn't want to get to that point of wondering if we could ever afford to get married...I just want to get it done and do the best we can in the little time we have...at the end of the day...all that matter is us starting our family and becoming husband in wife...we could do it in an alley surrounded by cats and to stare in his eyes and tell him I want to spend the rest of this life on earth with him would be just as sweet as having a million dollar wedding to me...but thats just my opinion...I think he would care and so would our guest...lol

    no...I am going to ride this date out until the wheels fall off...lol...I am at 7 months and I see the end...I am planning on booking the ceremony site at the end of january...once that is done...that is the nail to hold down the tent...I was stressing about a reception site..but now...I so over it...I don't care ...my concern is the ceremony and the license...in 2011 I am re-gifting my wedding stress out into the world for my friends, family and FI to worry about.

    Q: How did you pick that day, does it have a special meaning for you two and did FI help choose the day? I chose the date but my fiance knew that it was special to me. It was our original date for 2006. It is my grandfather's birthday and since he passed away in December of '06 I wanted to honor him and celebrate his memory

    Q: How many times have you change that day? Haven't changed it

    Q: Are you thinking about changing it to a different date further down the line or moving the date up a little or do you wish you had chose a different day.  I had wanted to get married sooner but it is important to me that his parents be there too and not just my family, and since they live in Cali, waiting until our actual date is all we can do in order for them to be able to make it out here. Otherwise we'd be married now Tongue out

    Q: How did you pick that day, does it have a special meaning for you two and did FI help choose the day? Long story short, my parents asked that we have it during certain months of the year. In those months, we refused to have it during football season (that would just be WRONG), which left us in the month of August. We eliminated the 13th b/c our anniverary would eventually fall on a Friday and I'm superstitious like that. We eliminated the last Saturday just in case the NFL decides to start the season early. That left us with 2 Saturdays that we wrote down on little pieces of paper, shook up in a cup and chose one. Real scientific, right? :)

    Q: How did you pick that day, does it have a special meaning for you two and did FI help choose the day?  "I" chose this day (finally) because it was after spring semester of school and it"ll be good weather.....hopefully. FI really didn't care. He could get married today when he gets off of work if he could....lol.

    Q: How many times have you change that day? My current date is the 3rd & FINAL change.

    I refuse to change it again. This is it! I was not happy with my previous dates (March 12th & April 9th), but I am very happy & content now cause I can have an outdoor wedding. Plus my BMs would kill me cause a couple of them are overseas & worked their breaks and coming home arrivals around my wedding day...lol.

    Q: What is your wedding date? January 8, 2011 (Next week ahhhhh!!!!)

    Q: What day of the week does it fall on? Saturday

    Q: How did you pick that day, does it have a special meaning for you two and did FI help choose the day? That was the only day that all of our vendors had an opening.

    Q: How many times have you change that day? 2 (We had set 2 dates in December but the vendors that we wanted were booked on those dates)

    Q: Are you thinking about changing it to a different date further down the line or moving the date up a little or do you wish you had chose a different day. LOL nope...getting married next Saturday...a little too late to think about changing the date lol!

    LOL, it is the most random thing. I like numbers to be in order or have a sequence to them so 9/10/11 fit me perfectly. FI just goes along with my quirks : )

    Haven't changed it but seriously considered it.

    I sometimes wish I had set the date closer but I am really set on having a date that "makes sense" so I am staying where I am.

    LOL!! I love this because one of my biggest concerns with having a September wedding is the conflict of football season!! I love football as much as FI does so this is really a big deal for us.

    Q: How did you pick that day, does it have a special meaning for you two and did FI help choose the day?    When Oct 2010 fell thru I sugggested NYE and he agreed plus he said he would never forget our anniversary! Plus it's a night to celebrate !!

Nope, it's a perfect date for us, im just hoping finding vendors wont be a problem. Plus  the sooner we marry the better soon to be father in law's health not to good. So we want to make sure he get's to see our big day.

    Q: How did you pick that day, does it have a special meaning for you two and did FI help choose the day?
    We are getting married in Myrtle Beach, SC.  The date is during the off season and hotels are cheaper and less traffic on the roads during the fall.  Our wedding is the Saturday after Thanksgiving, so this will give our families a chance to meet and hang out.  I love my family and why not celebrate our big day and give thanks for what really matters all at the same time.

    I have not changed the date.

    My "proposal" was to "pick a date" so i came up with two dates and we decided on January 8th because he'd still be on winter break from school.  Also, since his son is a senior in high school he didn't want him switiching schools.  We were prepared to bring him to school that final semester but it turns out that his son is going to stay with FIs mom until the end of the school year so we could've gotten married sooner!!

I travel for work to client sites, so I looked at my travel schedule for 2011, searched for 2 consecutive weeks in the fall where I hadn't been scheduled to travel so I could request PTO for the week of the wedding and the week afterwards.

No more changes - my travel schedule is fully booked so that wont work!!! My original date was 9/10/11 - I always dreamed of a fall wedding and in my head September was the most "fall-like" month in the year, plus 9-10-11 just made sense lol. I changed it because FI's sister got engaged a week after we did, the venue she really wanted only had that day available, and my venue still had several dates available, so I compromised

    Q: How did you pick that day, does it have a special meaning for you two and did FI help choose the day?  We're Jewish so we can't get married on Saturday and and since we have a lot out of town guests we wanted to do it on a Sunday--We we originally picked January 9 (I'm taking the bar exam in Feb and we didn't want to wait until afterwards and I thought that date would give me enough time to study after the wedding) until our first meeting with hte wedding planner where my father was like, umm you realize the next weekend is a holiday weekend right, since so many people are coming out of town we moved it to the next weekend to make it easier for them.

    Well the fiance didn't want the wedding in a super hot month (although we will be inside a church..go figure), he works 8 days straight and then gets 7 days off so we planned it during one of his weeks off and he will turn around and take a week and a half worth of vacay so it really was most considering his work schedule. We didn't realize the date sequence until I start doodling in church and nudged the fiance.

    Q: How many times have you change that day?
    Thought of pushing it up sooner once just because it felt like forever and a day before our wedding date but fiance is in love with the wedding date sequence

    It was pretty much whatever I wanted. He just went along with it!!

    I think we have changed it twice to accomadate our families. I am way too nice, but I love them!!

    Q: How did you pick that day, does it have a special meaning for you two and did FI help choose the day?  No real special meaning, we just wanted to lock down a Saturday date that worked for our venue and hotels.  It turned out great b/c we will be on our honeymoon in Belize for both of our birthdays!   It will also be two years to the month that we met, so that makes it special.

    Q: How many times have you change that day?  We changed it once - we originally wanted to get married in January (as in next month) but once we started getting complaints from family about the possible weather issues, etc. we decided to change it to a warmer weather date. 

    Q: Are you thinking about changing it to a different date further down the line or moving the date up a little or do you wish you had chose a different day.   Definitely not changing it!!!  Don't want to change our date, it's perfect.  Plus I love my date twins on this board and I have to stick with them!  Smile

    We were engaged on December 18, 2009!
    I teach school and that was the beginning of our winter break.
    Also, I only offered up dates that were the 1st, 3rd or 5th weekends of November and December; didn't want there to be any issues with my bonus daughter being there. :)

    none

    Not really. Have some family members with health issues and sometimes thought I should have moved it up, but everything worked out fine.

Our wedding was scheduled for the 17th, but due to a possible home football game, I changed it so my guest wouldn't have to fight through the traffic. Honestly, I knew I wanted September and it was the only weekend my FI could squeeze into his work schedule since it will be his second busy season of the year.

    Q: How many times have you change that day? Only once..just moved it from the 17th to the 18th

    Q: Are you thinking about changing it to a different date further down the line or moving the date up a little or do you wish you had chose a different day. Definitely not! We have paid all of our vendors and most of them are already totally booked for 2011 so there is no going back now!!

    1. Originally it was June 18th until we realized that was Father's Day

    Q: How did you pick that day, does it have a special meaning for you two and did FI help choose the day? during the winter. It was the closest to our date anniversary of April 21st without interfering with Easter. We also had complaints about getting married in December because FI's family is from Florida and they were scared to come here during the winter. April is good, not too hot or cold just hope it don't rain!

    Q: How many times have you change that day? This is our third and final date.... we had 10/23/2010 & 12/4/2010.

    Q: Are you thinking about changing it to a different date further down the line or moving the date up a little or do you wish you had chose a different day. No more changes!, if we have anymore issues my FI and I will be going to the JOP!!! I wish I could get married in the fall, I love the colors of the fall but oh well....

    Q: How did you pick that day, does it have a special meaning for you two and did FI help choose the day?  We picked the date because I will be on my spring break, one of few breaks from school.  Later on after we picked the date we realized that the date is kind of cool because my birthday is Jan 19 and FI's birthday is June 19, so our wedding date kind of falls in between and the 19th seems to be a recurring theme with us lol.

Not really, but we later realized that his mother and father were married on May 5, his grandmother;s bday is May 6, my bestie was married on May 8, and two cousins have b-days on May 9 and 10th.

We knew we wanted it in September but didn't want it to be Labor Day Weekend or later in the month cause we both love football and FI coaches high school football also and we checked with venues to find out prices too. It ends up being special cause it 3 days after my late grandmothers b-day, the day after his older brothers wedding anniversary and a few days after one of my aunts and uncles wedding anniversary's

    We knew we wanted an August wedding and a date that would allow for us to take a honeymoon before I returned to school for Fall semester so August 6th it was.

    Q: How many time have you changed that date? We haven't (crossed fingers) I picked that date once we decided on a month before we had picked a day and it luckily fi agreed.
