The Wedding Monster is After ME!!!!

So my guest list has turned into a BEAST! FI seemed to only put 1 person on his list he gave me when the people were really couples. So people have been texting and calling asking if their husbands and boyfriends were invited. ugghhhh And of course I have to say yes.

I'm currently 32 people over the maximum number allowed in my room at the venue. So far no one has RSVPed no to my wedding and I still have over 100 invites still out there. 

I spoke to the venue about a larger room and they said I would have to move the wedding to start at 6pm instead of 3pm for them to accommodate the # of people I would need! 

I definitely do not want to change the time. 

So yau'll please pray that some of these people don't come!!! I need a good 40 No's

I am going through the exact same thing with fiance, luckily invites haven't gone out it. But our initial guestlist, we were missing so many plus ones. The guestlist was about 120 and we are catering for 100. 20 no's..not bad since the wedding is not local to the majority of people. Now we are up to 175 since houding him to find out about the plus ones. So uhm, 75 no's...yea, I don't think so! UGH! Atleast the invites haven't gone out yet, time to sit down and let the cutting process begin.

OMG No!!! My FI did something similar. Everyone from church was just listed as "Ms. So-in-so" and then when I sent the list to his mom to double check she was like these women are married. Thanks dude.

I hope everything works out. Maybe the No's are stalling to send it in because they feel bad. I know I always wait to send a No to decline any event.

This!  But how about I'm going through the same thing too!  My mother has been estranged from her father and his folks for like 20+ years and and she told me, to send them a save-the-date anyway.  Well how about they are ALL wanting to come.  Ugh!  I don't mind and would love to have them but going up in the numbers affects EVERYTHING!!!  Cake, food, linens, and candy station.  Oh well, it's gonna be what it's gonna be.  We haven't sent out invites yet and have enough time to negotiate final numbers with the vendor.  MsAmeera I REALLY hope everything works out for you with this guest list and I will keep you uplifted in prayer as well.

OMG!!!! I'm so sorry this is happening! This is exactly why I'm sending out my invites earlier than normal and in a tiered process. Probably not conventional, but at least I won't be worrying about going over my number. So basically, I'm sending out to my first 150, and once I get some no's in, I'll drop another invite in the mail. However, my list has to be very prioritzed.

MsAmeera - I hope it all works out.....I know it will! Do the boyfriends have to be included? I understand husbands, but boyfriends? We really were like if I wouldn't spend $50 on them on a regular day, (or vice versa) I'm not doing it on my wedding day either.

This is exactly what I'm worried about. FI keeps going "oh by the way, such-and-such is coming". When were you going to tell me dude? They need Save The Dates! MsAmeera, I'd be safe and change the time. Are your ceremony and reception in one place?

This! We're doing the same thing with our 150. We're sending it out to the main invites and then as we get declines back inviting other people who we thought we wouldn't be able to.

My ceremony and reception are in the same place so maybe like you ladies said the no's feel bad and are waiting till the end....or i'm hoping for a May Blizzard lol in Florida at that!

Oh man, MsAmeera, that stinks, I understand why you are stressed, we have way more guests invited than we are hoping will come too (250 vs 180). I hope it all works out for u and u get some no's coming in soon!

Oh noooooooo!  Why FI Whyyyyyyy????  LOL.... Well I'm glad you found out now and not later like on the day of your wedding.  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you and hope you have enough guests decline their RSVP
