I will try to make this short. I decided on my wedding date of Nov 3, 2012 in April of last year. My MOH boyfriend proposed in Dec and she picked her wedding date of October 7 2012. She decided this in Feb of this year. I was shocked and told her that since she hasn't had her dress or anything I was giving her the option to not be in my wedding and I wouldn't be mad. She said it was ok and she wanted to be a part of my big day. Well in March she asked me to be one of my BM, but understood if it would be too much for me with my wedding plans. I said I would be honored and would work it out. She sent me the pic of the BM dresses last week. The dress is 268.00 and I will still need to get shoes oe jewelry. My mother thinks I should tell her I can't be in her wedding. Things have gotten tight for me money wise. I am thinking I would have to put the dress, shoes and anything else for wedding on my credit card for her wedding. I feel bad if I have to tell her I can't be in the wedding. What to do?

Have you checked to see if Pearl's place has the dress any cheaper? Maybe she would be open to all the BMs getting it there if it would save everyone money.

She sent me the dress which is on zappos. http://m.zappos.com/lillypulitzersarafinadresstruenavydollupofascallop I don't think I can get this from Pearls Place.

Sorry try to post from cell phone. Sku 8044349 zappos.com I just wanted opnions I just got the info about the dress this past week. I will not wait a long time to discuss this with her. We have been friends for over 20 yrs and I will be able to talk to her about it.

Id really try my best to make it work but let her know you are having difficulties.  Honestly, if its October, I'd just charge it.  I just had some1 drop out.  It was crappy.

deej my girls are wearing pulitzers that I got from ebay.   run a search that you can get daily alerts on, put in something broad (I used the phrase lilly pulitzer (navy)) and got both dresses for less than $70.    honestly though the dress doesn't sound like your biggest dilemma.  I wish you luck in whatever your decision, but girl whichever way you're leaning, you don't wanna see her pop up in here with a vent post tambout my bestie dropped out with 4 months to go - tell her luvie.

I love my MOH just like she was my sister I would never make things difficult for her if I can help it. Every since I said yes I would be her BM I not once thought of backing out on her until I spoke to my mother about the dress. She didn't want me to be struggling to take care of everything. I know if I had to let my friend know I couldn't be in her wedding she would understand. I would if she had to do the same with me, but I will do what I can do to be there for her.
