Wedding Recap

Sorry for the delay...

Rehearsal was solid, a bit confusing at times but solid. Everyone arrived on time, and things were carried out. The venue was just at the beginning stages of being transformed, and I overheard a couple of folks mentioned how the place was "nice" but had a warehouse feel. I couldn't help but smile, because I knew they would be blown away come the following day once the stage setup was delivered.
Our vendor hired to set up our canopy drape setting was a pain. We had it documented  in the contract to be delivered on Saturday, however they started on Tuesday attempting to have it set up on Friday. My wc quickly reminded them on what was in the contract. They even went so far as to call the venue owner, who might I add also put them in their place. They apparently had another event they where trying to set up for and gave numerous incorrect info on why it needed to be set up before hand.

The rehearsal/meet and greet combine with both families was such a great idea. Both families mingled well amongst each other and new friends was made. FI and I agreed that was one of the best ideas we had since we had so many oot guests. FI missed the blessing of the food b/c he was out looking for his lost cousin. My aunt and his nephew paid for the rehearsal dinner and we couldn't figure out why we had so much food left until we found out his sister had cooked before the rehearsal dinner..hmmmm Ima hold my tongue on that one.

I woke up on my wedding day with my MOH and we just giggled that I was getting married all morning. The make up lady and photographer came in around 11and all of my "Wing Chicks" had there make up done. Then I sat down in the chair and lost it when my mother walked in the door. Yep I cried like a baby, it was so bad the make up lady had me turn my backs to them. Then my aunt, aka, the regulator walked and reminded me:"You my dear are a LYNK, and Lynk ladies do not cry." Shut us all down, so we made the Ciroc cry instead.Wink

I didn't get nervous until I heard fi's song starting to play. I had a staircase I had to walk down so my tummy was full of butterflies hoping I didn't end up on my face at the bottom of the stairs. My dad had me laughing the whole time down the aisle. He kept saying, "It's not too late, we better not cause your momma's packing her heat." The whole time I was smiling and looking at my fly fi.

We had a plated dinner service, so that was cool also, until the servers set out a big bottle of hot sauce on one of the tables. Like seriously, really, this is NOT auntie mames backyard bbq.

The place was beautiful and my cousin's wife really did her thing with the table decor and flowers. I was so happy and so was my fi.  I'll come back and post the real pics once I get the proofs! Just remember: IT's YOUR DAY!!!
