Sleeping Pills....Help!!!!

Ok Ladies...My wedding is in 49 days and my sleep is disturbed!!! If I am lucky I get 3-4 hours of sleep a night and I am starting to pay for it!! I have started to use sleep aids but I don't want to make it a habit!! Is any one else going through this ? And how are you coping?

    I am starting to have a different sleep pattern as well. To combat that, I am doing things to tire out my brain. For example, I work out late at night. I do projects until I can't keep my eyes open. I play cell phone games. Silly things like that.

    Oh and read a book. That always helps :-).

    In the same boat! I also do things to make myself tired. I'll do schoolwork or get on the computer. It usually helps.

    - Try stretching for about 15 minutes before going to bed - it relaxes your body
    - Take a long, warm shower or bath before bed
    - Create a routine that you do before bed every night so it'll "signal" your brain that it's time to sleep - such as drinking some non-caffinated tea and reading a book
    - Write in a journal every night before going to sleep, it helps release some of the worries that make you feel "wound up" 

    I think you're right to find a way to stop with the sleeping pills - they can be very addictive.  Good luck!

    Try lavender oil and try not to look at a computer screen about 30 mins before you go to sleep they emit a blue backlight that stimulates the brain. I have been having sleepless nights too but the lavender helps soothe the nerves.

    I'm no help but I take a 1 hour nape every day at take non haboit forming sleeping pills to make sure I get 8 hours at least twice a week
