We met September 2009 & got engaged after 6 months!  His cousin, who happens to be one of my best friends, introduced us. She told me that he wanted to meet me and told me where he goes to church (we are both active in church activities).  So I attended his church one day last September and met him there. We started going together in December. By the end of the year, he was talking about getting married but I wasn't hearing any of it because I thought the relationship was moving too fast!  By February, we were talking about shopping for engagement rings on my birthday in Sept. 2010. He showed me this ring that he bought about 4 years ago but was never worn; he was waiting to give it to the right woman. On March 1, 2010, he had me over for dinner (pork chops, sauerkraut, and mashed potatoes for good luck) and gave me one long-stemmed rose. Then after dinner, he made me close my eyes, and hold my left hand out and led me to his bedroom. Then he slipped the ring on my finger, got on both knees and proposed. I said yes!!! I knew it was coming but I didn't expect it so soon.  We are VERY happy and planning for a June 11, 2011 wedding. I am sooooo excited!!!!! The 2011 date will give us time to know each other better and to save money for the wedding.
