thanks!  i got it from this website called dupsie's.  they are based in atlanta.  they have stored located in the state as well.

how did you meet your FI and what made you say that he is the one for you?

forgive me if this is LONG!  LOL

i first saw him at this local poetry spot.  we both write and perform poetry ( not so much these days).  he was reading one of the weirdest and most creative poems i had ever heard at the time.  i was dating someone else at the time.  we would see each other out and about.  we would speak and keep it moving. 

fast forward i broke up with the guy i was seeing.  FI's  poetry group invited me to read at their weekly open mic.  frankly most of them were a little scared of me coming.  i pretty much had the rep of being an erotic poet.  i did other types of pieces, but i was more known for that.  my ex and i would spit pieces together of the erotic genre.  so i get to the open mic and i change it up on them.  this is when he says he got intrigued.  there was more to me than some chic who talked dirty on the mic. 

fast forward again and he's working at michael's in the frame shop.  i go there to buy some stuff for a jewelry project i'm working on.  i have on one of my favorite dresses.  it's some frumpy thing that i enjoy wearing because it's comfortable.  i don't care how it looks.  i bump into him there.  he makes some crack about the dress and i just start laughing.  it was so freaking cute and funny.  i notice how cute and chocolatey he is ( i LOVE dark skinned men btw).  he tell me he has an art show opening next friday and could i come.  i say sure.  i go.  he is good...i mean really good!   he asks me to pose for him and ask me if i could visit him.  i say sure.  i go that friday.  we chat and talk until midnight.  i go back saturday and stay until one in the morning.  i go back sunday and basically i never left for 9 months!!

over our 5 years together, we've broken up 3 times, but we have always managed to work out our issues.  why is he the one?  frankly i've never met anyone who is so funny and serious at the same time.  i've never met anyone who pushes me so hard to be a better person.  he's intelligent and so talented.  he's a perfect compliment to me.  frankly i couldn't think of anyone else for me.  i was married before when i was 21, but i wasn't a whole person then.  Lorenzo accepts me for all my issues and keep me sane, even if i want to strangle him sometimes!  LOL
