Hey ladies! Well I'm back at work after a great wedding and honeymoon. And of course I'm supposed to be working but I'd rather be on TK, lol! But anyway here's a little recap...
Friday, 9/14/12
This was the rehearsal day. It was sooooo hectic! I got up that morning and went for a mani/pedi with my mom and sister. Then we all had breakfast together. I then ran around the rest of the day tying up loose ends. I decided I wanted to take everything that was needed for the wedding to the church on the rehearsal day so I wouldn't have to deal with any of it on the wedding day. I loaded up my car and drove everything to the church. The rehearsal was to start at 6:30 with dinner right after. One of the deacons was supposed to bring a bunch of tables up there for the dinner by 5pm but of course it was almost 6 when he got there! So I felt a little rushed trying to get everything set up. But once the setup was done and my DOC showed up everything smoothed out. She took the reigns just like I wanted her to and she made sure everyone knew when, where, what, why, and how. All I had to do was sit back and watch. After the rehearsal we had dinner at the church. I had really wanted a big fancy rehearsal dinner at a nice restaurant but those plans fell through a month before so a catered meal at the church was our plan B. THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT! Everyone loved it. So after everyone ate we passed out all the gifts and somehow we had forgotten to get a gift for FI's dad! We felt terrible but thankfully I had an unused gift card in my purse that someone had given me so it got regifted to my father-in-law. Bad I know, but better than nothing! All and all the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner were great but I felt like someone was calling my name every two minutes and I prayed that the wedding day wouldn't be like that!
Saturday 9/15/12
The day before the wedding. I got up and went to get my lashes done. It was my first time having individuals and I loved them (until it was time to take them off, lol) MIL cooked a huge brunch for the families. Only me and my grandma went from my side because she told us at the last minute and everyone already had plans, hair appts, etc. But anyway the groomsmen were there and they gave FI and I our gift: They rented us an SUV! I kissed my future hubby goodbye and told him I would see him at the altar the next day

So then it was time for me to meet up with my sister and load the car up with stuff to take to the reception site. We loaded up her truck and my car and she headed home while I went to get my hair done. My beautician did my sew-in and I wasn't happy with it at first but she worked at it untill I was satisfied. When I left there I was supposed to meet up with my sister to drop everything off at the reception but my sister and BIL had already dropped off everything in her truck and just asked for my keys so they could drop off everything in my car

Thank God for my sister cause she kept me sane through the whole process! I went home to pack for the wedding night and honeymoon then tried to sleep but of course I couldn't, I was just too excited!
Sunday, 9/16/12
The Wedding Day! I woke up feeling stressfree and carefree and so excited to marry my best friend! The day went so smoothly. It started with me going to the shop to get my hair touched up, then I headed to the church to get my makeup started. That makeup crew beat up these faces, ok!!! From there the day just flew by. The rest of the bridesmaids started arriving along with the photographer and videographer. We got a bunch of pics and video footage before the ceremony and my groom was brought outside my door so we could get our first touch photo. This just made me even more excited to marry him! So at 2:45 eveyone was ready and waiting for our 3pm start time. That's right, this black wedding started ON TIME!! LOL, I was so GLAD ABOUT THAT! So as my bridal party started walking down the aisle I realized that The Lord's Prayer had not been sung yet. HAHA not sure how that happened but anyway all the bridesmaids and groomsmen and my MOH got down the aisle, then the Lord's prayer was sung, then my FG, RB, and bellringer went down the aisle. But you know what? I really didn't even care! My daddy looked so handsome and excited for me. He loved walking his little girl down the aisle. And as he did I saw my baby standing there waiting for me and I was all smiles.

The ceremony went by so fast and as he listened to me make my vows to him I could see the tears forming in his eyes, so of course I started balling! Its all his fault! LOL! From there we went to take a bunch of pics, then headed into the reception. It was absolutely gorgeous! My MIL and her crew had that room looking so elegant and gorgeous! My dance with hubs and my dance with my father are moments that I'll never forget. That was the happiest I have ever been in my life. The night went by so fast after that. It was just one big party which was exactly what we wanted! I barely got to dance though because every minute someone wanted a picture of the bride! THAT was overwhelming, but I made it. And every time I felt like we had been separated too long I said "I gotta find my groom!" My sister gave a speech that had me and hubs in tears, then the hubby gave a speech that made the whole room cry! Once the reception was over we headed to our suite in downtown Chicago to ummm *ahem* enjoy the night

! The next day we went back home, gave away all the leftover food from the reception, finished packing, and flew off to VEGAS for our honeymoon. We had a fantastic time! Now we're back and since we agreed to never live together until after the wedding, we spent our first night in our new house together! I feel so incredibly blessed by God! I remember a year ago we were saying I don't know how we're going to pay for this wedding or how we're going to be able to rent an apartment but we're just gonna trust the Lord to make a way. And now here we are happily married and homeowners! Can't nobody tell me God ain't good cause I know it was all HIM!
Thanks for reading ladies!! I don't have many pics but here's a few. I'll share more when I get more!
