Yummy tasting tonight

My BM and I will be going to a tasting from Ravishing Radish at the Tyee Yacht Club, one of the Venuses I am interested in. Anyone have a Wedding Reception there? Or has anyone else checked that Venue out? What are your views?

They were one of the caterers we considered and their menu proposal was really yummy sounding! They also seemed really nice. Have fun :)

Yeah Jenn it is at 95 and It may decrease or increase. FI still hasn't looked at it yet and I told him all that he needs to do is to check out his guests and cross out or add anyone he wants to it. I can't nail him down to look over it. Uuuuuuugh!

i had my wedding there.  i think 95 is fine.  we had 85 and plenty more space for 2-3 more tables.i had a mixed experience... the food was great, but  working with the staff was challenging for me.  they changed the rules on me, and i couldn't always get a straight answer out of them about pricing/service/etc.  they also changed prices on my invoice from the time of signing until the final payment a few weeks before event date.  on the other hand, i've heard worse stories about other venues so perhaps they aren't that bad in the grand scheme of things.

sleepy :I didn't know they could change things once you both have agreed and signed it. Or was that discussed that they could change for price increases or such and if they did was that included in the contract? I hate things like that when they can come in and increase stuff if it has not been discussed or in the contract. Thank God for my FI because he will look over it with a fine tooth comb.

Yup I am having my wedding there. The food is delish. thenewhorne also just had her wedding there, she should hurry up and post her reviews ;)... what Jennlin said is pretty right. I am prepared to take my original quote and contract with me just in case something happens. I am meeting with them in November to go over event details and such. Oh and their cocktails are to DIE for if you are going to one of their tasting events. Make sure you get there early to get one. The other part I like is it really is a blank canvas so you could really theme the room how ever you want, but it would probably suite a more modern wedding.Oh another draw back, I don't know if you are planning on doing the ceremony there, but if you do they don't gaurentee you can reherse there until maybe the week before.

there were a bunch of things i caught, and made them change back.  (e.g. service went from 18% to 20%).  they agreed to change most of the things back, but it was annoying that the onus was on ME to catch the mistakes, point them out & then having to go back & forth to fix things.
