Wedding hair venting (sorry in advance)

I've been wanting to wear a sew in for the wedding since I got engaged. With the wedding in April, there's potential for rain so I wanted to decide on a hairstyle that in case the weather does decide to act up, I won't worry too much about my hair. Having said that, I've never worn weave before so I am completely naive about which one is the best, how much should I spend, what kind to get (since I only plan on wearing it the month of April), and how early should I have the hair trial or if I could. I've talked to several women about this and they all have said "Get the hair in week before". I'm thinking to myself though what if I don't like it. Then I'd be stuck but at the same time, if I had a hair trial ($120-150 for putting in weave), I can't just take it out and redo it if I like it, right? In all honesty, I wish there was "Hair Weave for Dummies" or something I could look at that would simplify each question I have. I need help with this. Just FYI-I'm posting pics of what I want the hair to look like. What do you think? Help!

I love the look you're going for.  I want something similar, but I want to wear it half up and half down.  I'm thinking about doind a full sew in also.... never worn one.  FI's cousin is some Emmy award winning stylist from Soho and he insists that he do my hair for the wedding.  So I said ok.  I'll have to catch up with him in the coming months to do a trial. I have no idea what the difference is between all the different types of hair.  If you find the Weave for Dummies book, I need one too!

Here are a couple of my inspiration photos.....

Maybe you can go to a beauty store, that sells wigs and all and try some wigs on that are somewhat styled the way you want your hair to look to give you an idea.  I've worn weave but I am far from an expert on what hair to buy and so forth so Im of no help there.  But I know wigs and lace front come in many different styles so that may be a place to start.

I have yet to decide on my hair.  I am a simple.. no make up... hair worn staight or in a pony tail. I did one hair trail for an event I had to go to... ahhhh I came home and washed it out.   I hate getting my hair done, I never like it.  I will have to make up my mind soon.

For the hair trial... and for the wedding... I say get STRAIGHT weave. Get human hair. That way the stylist can curl it how you want it. You really should use the same hair for the wedding. But by getting straight hair, if the trial goes wrong, it can still be altered. As opposed to you getting curly weave and not liking it. I would NORMALLY reccommend getting really expensive hair, but you only plan to wear it for a month, just get some nice human hair. I also think you should have the trial about 1-2 weeks before the wedding so that your weave can still look new, since you're just getting a nice human instead of like Indian Remy.

Hope this makes sense and helps.
