I had been trying to call All that Shimmers for 2 weeks before I left a message with my number. I called back like 10 minutes after I left my message and the girl said they'd been trying to call me back but somehow transposed the last 4 digits... So then she asked me for the correct number. I asked if she had the dress I was looking for and she assured me that she had it. It was one of their top selling dresses and they for sure had it. Fast forward to today. I drive from the easthill of Kent all the way to All that Shimmers. I walk in and they tell me that they don't have the dress I came for and for some reason my name is spelled Farrah and they have no number for me. I was so disappointed that I didn't even want to try on dresses. I did anyway, because they said that they were trying to look for the dress in the racks. So finally after I'd been there for a while trying on dresses I hate, I asked for another dress. It took way too long to find that one so I put my clothes back on, already frustrated. I walked up to the front and Karen could see how disappointed I was. She said the dress would be in within the week in a 12. Well I don't wear a 12. I told her thank you so much for helping and I was getting ready to leave. Then she asked if I'd been fitting for a mori lee dress to see what size I would actually wore. I told her no but the size of the other dress that I had tried on before at their store. And i told her the size of another Mori Lee dress that I tried on that zipped up and was too big on me.She got on the phone, called Mori Lee and asked them to rush the dress I want in my size to her store!!!I was so disappointed and so frustrated because my previous experience there was so helpful. She completely made it up to me and promises to call me RIGHT when it arrives. :0) I'm so excited to try it on. So sadly no pics ladies! She said it should be in by Friday 10-9. YAY!!

I went with Champagne for one of her fittings at All That Shimmers - Karen is really nice and I recall both Champagne and Josbal saying to work with her. Hope it all turns out well! What dress are you waiting for to come in?

yea Karen was really helpful with me.  I had a similar issue but they got the dress in for me to try on and then made sure i was measured properly and i ordered the dress.  the orginal dress i wanted (the one i bought) somehow didnt show up for a while but i did end up loving my deress and they were awesome.  They kept it at the store for me and pressed it before each time i came down to try it on.  I live in 700 SQ with FI so I couldn't bring my dress home.  They stored it for like over a month.  most places wont do that.

Ditto Tygirl, what dress is it? I'm glad your story had a happy ending. Dress trying-on is traumatic enough as it is!

its the first dress in my bio. mori lee 4163.they didn't seem helpful at first but when she offered to do that i was very surprised!

Thank you Jennyann. That is the dress I love so much but because it hits so high, I'm worried that it will make me look even bigger when it hits my butt. the sample isn't my size but i freaking love it. and it has pockets!

well i think it definately hits my waist which is small compared to my junk in the trunk... that dress is definately my favorite. When I tried the first dress on that is listed in my bio at I Do, I really liked it on me. It was very flattering. The second dress is the one I dream about but I am just worried that since it hits me so high, when it gets to my butt, it will just look bad. It's hard to explain but all dresses that are more empire don't usually look good on me because of that. The smaller I feel the more comfortable I'll be. I do love that dress though. Once I get a pic up of the other dress, the first one, I'll have every one take a vote. :0) help me decide.

Ooh, the one you're gonna try on is in taffeta!  I love taffeta.  My dress is diamond white taffeta, and it's much lighter feeling than the satin, and is kindof glowy.  My friends who were with me said it looked like moonlight.  Aww.  :)Anyhoo, Stacy and Clinton would tell you to get a dress where the waistline is at your smallest part, and I think that's why we like that 2nd Mori Lee in your bio.  A regular empire dress might not work with the junk in the trunk, but that one's a pretty big ball gown, so it may work (because it's going to veer away from your body anyways, regardless of how much junk you have ).Anyways, I'm glad they were able to make you happy at All That Shimmers.  Have fun on your next trip!

Thank you.I love that dress also. I'm still debating which is why I want to see pics of me in a few dresses for a while. I really like the prices at All that Shimmers too.
