A quick word of advice before I say my check... It's so true that things fall into place for your wedding when you least think about it.
Case in point, I've been looking around for a hair/makeup artist in Jamaica. I was looking for someone who could come to us and that I could have a trial with beforehand. I got a couple of recs from family members but they didn't really go anywhere. I wasn't really panicking because I figured, at the very least, I could have the spa at the resort do my hair and my sisters could do my makeup (but I didn't really want them doing work like that).
So anyways, my FMIL calls me and tells me that FI's cousin, who was hanging out at her house, told her that she does hair and makeup on the side and could do mine at no charge. She's one of the coolest people you could meet and we hung out several times and interact like we've been family for years. I couldn't be more excited! She told me to send her pics of what I like and she'll work with me to get the look I want. Like I said, I didn't try to worry about this aspect of planning but she really helped me feel more secure since I now know the person doing my hair and makeup is someone I know and trust!
