10.  When did you get engaged and how did he do it?? We got engaged April 30, 2011 he popped the question as a surprise while we were getting dress for his bday party

11. When is the Wedding Day? September 4, 2011 i know short but its an extremely LDR and flying to Jamaica is becoming costly J

12. Where is the ceremony and reception? Four Season Hotel Kingston Jamaica for both

13. What are your wedding colors?Turquoise/Aqua and Chocolate Brown

14. Where are you honeymooning? Wil be spending a couple days touring Jamaica

15. Favorite wedding vendor so far? I loved my shoes

16. Biggest wedding splurge? Collectively the planner as she includes MC, pastor,picture, video, cake decor

17. What is something you wish you could have at the wedding but don't? I really wished I could have an open bar but venue restrict s bar for an hour and i couldn’t justify spending so much for an hr

18. Another knottie wedding you'd like to attend? All i love weddings seeing someone’s vision come to life

19. Favorite book? I have lots I am presently going to read Save your Marriage before it starts to get my mindset into marriage

20. Favorite movie? I have tonnes of them just to pick I am going to say For Colored Girls by Tyler Perry

21. Favorite tv show? Lots again I am a TV junky anything wedding related oh yea i know Bridezilla

23. Any advice you can give? Don’t turn into a bridezilla I was really mean to my sis over the weekend as I have a lot on my plate and my FI said Kay ur sis has been there for us so I unbridezila myself and apologized

24. Anything you wish you could change about your wedding? I wish I had way more $ but I am just fresh out of school and the wedding is not so much a priority but getting him here in Canada so we can start living is

25. Share something about yourself!! I love to eat I drive to buffalo at least once a mth for food and the cheesecake factory is my fave so far

Canada is different but I have lived here for 13 years so really this is my home as for the wedding planning my sister and the planner is who deserves all the credit that is especialy why FI say i need to apologize even tho he lives in jamaica he is not hands on either as he is in the army so no time to do much

So nice to meet you Ms. Anna Kay.  Kudos to your sister for being there for you!So by your FI being in the army is the transition to relocate to Canada going smoothly?  How do you deal with having a long distance relationship? Keeping it fresh, I mean.

we are in the process of looking at what is best immigration wise plus its gonna be such a culture shock for him when he comes the good news is he has lots of relatives that are here so he wont feel like its just him alone here which is a huge plus, we are on BBM every minute of everyday that his job allows him to be on it speak daily so it helps i also try to go back 3 times per yr but now i am going thru a recession lmao, but when i go to jamaica i enjoy my time*wink wink* so much plus i get to see my mommy as she lives there

No i personally don't partake in Caribana I am not a fan of soca music however it is a very fun event and there are tons of after party that entire weekend is party filled so if u ever came u would have a good time

wow personally i do not want 1 the FI has 1 already and the mom is being a meanie(polite B) but i went thru some personal tragedy at 14 surrounding kids/misscarriage/molestation so that kind of took my mind off kids but I want to wait should i change my mind once he lives here in Canada with me and I have a stable job and he has a job as daycare is so expensive and i at least want to be half way prepared

Congratulations and nice meeting you Kedeisha8!  I am curious why it will be a culture shock for your FI; how different is Canda from Jamaica? Is Canda like the US?  I really want to visit there one day.  I'm going to tell FI tonight so we can put that on our list of places we want to visit. I am so facinated with people from other countries.  I hope this doesn't sound bad but I am amazed at black people that like in other countries and I am not sure why. well its gonna be an adjustment because we have so much rights in Canada that ppl take for granted, bus sytems, stores everything people are not so meanish going back home every 3 mths or so reminds me of wy i love Canada although I am a Jamaican born i just am use to the things here and he just have to adjust his way of thinking as Jamaica is a bit different. In Canada a policae cant just search u just because where in jamaica that happens and this is when u are walking the streets. Canada and US has similiarities and difference but yep pretty much alike. Jamaica is a beautiful place to go visit as a tourist as u may not get to experience the hardhsip but when i go home i go as a resident not tourist.
