AAW Suggestions/Comment

Hey ladies.

Is there anything that you would like to be done or be done differently for the AAW Boards?

I guess I am asking because I want this board to be something that you look forward to coming to when you log on and I want to make it more active.

So are there any suggestions or comments on what you would like to see...(maybe you have seen it before or on your other boards)?

I am all ears...(well eyes, I guess...)

Hump Day Letters... Here's mine from my local board

Dear Job,
  I love you and your awesome paycheck.

Dear Paycheck,
  Can you please go directly into my account next month like you were supposed to this month, It would make my life easier.

Dear Hubby,
  I know you will find something soon, I'm glad you decided to go for the construction thing.

Dear MIL
  Leave me alone.

Dear Jealious MOH
  It's my day, not yours. How selfish can you be to threaten to smash my cake just because its from the same bakery you used. It was a coincidence I even found that bakery to begin with. If you were a good MOH, you would be recommending vendors and helping me look for vendors. I haven't gotten one grain of help from you yet.

Well... I already look forward to coming on here everyday.

But I'm thinking of probably including something like a "AAW Hair/Makeup Bride Guide".
 
I noticed sometimes how hard it is to find hairstyles for our hair or types of makeup that suits our skin tones best. I think having this can help set us apart from the other boards and give other brides inspiration. We could have a post maybe once a week showing where everyone posts pictures or gives tutorials...

Also, when I used to be on the West Coast Florida board they had a posting each week where they shouted out the brides getting married that week and where. I think that would be a cool add too. HTH!

I agree with the other ladies. Also if we could do a post for the brides for that weekend. We do it on my local board. We just send congrats the week of their wedding. We also do knottie of the day, where each day except fri-sun, where a knottie is featured and answer questions about her big day and life. knotties participate by answering yes to a post with their name and knottie name and our mod pulls a name each day.

I like the knottie of the day idea, it gives us a chance to know the details of everyone's day.

I looooooove these suggestions.  These suggestions will make me look forward to visiting this board even more than I already do.  I think it would be good to add something like "what are you doing this weekend that's WR or NWR" post on Fridays.

I also think it helps if other AAW knotties were responsible for posting certain posts.  That way the responsibility isn't all on the mod  I volunteer to do the "What Are Your Weekend Plans" post on Fridays.

As I was reading the suggestions, I was thinking, man I have to stay on top of this but you ladies are making my life a little easier.

Ok...so we have Amanda for the bridal shot outs...what day would you like to do that? I think Mondays would be good for that.

We have Desiray for Hump Day Confessions (which we obviously know is a Wednesday)

We have Tamisha doing the "What Are Your Weekend Plans"

I will randomly choose a Knottie each day for Knottie of the Day.

As for the other days, I will fill those days in with the other suggestions here as well as some of my own...

Lets see how this goes ladies...

My club board does the knottie of the day as well. They have a list of dates posted at the top of the page during the week with each knotties name next to it. That way we can check it and make sure to be online for our day.  It makes things easier, because some ladies might not be online everyday. hth

What about a "How does this look" day? We can post pics of something we need an opinion on and everyone could comment on it. For example, for those of us who are practicing doing our own make-up, we can post pics and get feedback.
