Invitation Dimensions and Postage

Hey Sis!

For those who have already sent their invites out (using pocketfolds) do you happen to know the postage dimensions so that I can stay in the $.65/range (preferably .45 like Tracey). My designer is ready to start on my invites....but I have NO CLUE about this. I've been trying to work on all this invite stuff (wording, sizing, printing,) and now it has SNUCK UP ON ME! AHHHH!

Re: Invitation Dimensions and Postage

  • My invitations are 5x7 (not pocket fold but layered) with a 3.5x5 RSVP card. I had it priced last week and it's .65 cents (whomp, whomp)

  • The weight is what matters. Mine were a single flip pocket so I didn't have the weight of two additional sides that make the pocket close. I also only had 2 inserts and no second envelope since the RSVP was a postcard. I came in at exactly 1 oz. Anything over would've been .65. If you do have a square though that is automatically extra too. I don't know why I just remember meeting with another designer who told me that. So any rectangular shape is going to start at .45 and then go up .20 for every ounce over 1 ounce.
