What are you guys planning to buy your boss? I have 4 people that I report too and I have to buy for each of them. It doesn't help that I don't really care for most of them so I am having a hard time. Any help would be appreciated and I especially don't want to break the bank. I was looking into custom ornaments from etsy that are $10 each only problem is I don't know what color their trees are so I don't want to clash with their decor. Gosh I hate this I really wished I liked them it would be so easier to shop.

Do you feel you have to buy anything? I'm foregoing business gifts this year.  I've only been here since August and the person who hired me moved on, so I'm just going to participate in the white elephant game and call it a day.

Yes I feel like I do. I have been here 5 years and I always buy for the people I support. However in September they completely changed my job and I no longer support the people I really like so I think people are used to me giving but I only gave because I liked those people and really wanted to give to them now if I don't give I am going to look like a jerk

Oh, wow!  I feel your pain.....

How do you feel about gift cards?  I did that one year.  I chose a common lunch spot and bought everyone $10 gift cards to that restaurant - free lunch on me!  It worked well because I had both male and female employees.

If I come up with any other ideas I'll let you know.

I think I might have to go the gift card route i Just think they are kind of wack. I hate getting gift cards sometimes I prefer to actually open a gift especially when you are older you pretty much don't get gifts anymore so I look forward to gifts . But hey that is just me lol

Umm...I gave them an invite to the wedding...does that count lol. (Probably not but oh well!!!)

Yall are both crazy. Ty that is what i want to give them too but that will note make sure that I keep my job so I have to move on to plan B. just not sure what that is yet!

I wont me inviting many of these boo boo heads to my wedding at all. You must like your co-workers to invite them

if you feel obligated, a gift card is fine.  personally i don't mind getting gift card.  otherwise don't get them anything.

Alright ladies I bit the bullet and bought them Ornament off Etsy. I got them all personalized ornaments and including shipping they were $8.50 I also bought an ornament for each couple in FI's family with their last name and marriage year on it So it all worked out. I didn't have to go anywhere and I killed two groups with one stone. Mission accomplished. They will think that I care and I did not break the bank!
