African American Officiant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Ladies, 

I am a Boston Knottie  and I am looking for an African American Officiant to conduct my ceremony. After countless days, weeks and hours of google searches I haven't gotten anywhere! I am looking for any suggestions? Are there any other brides from Boston that has the same criteria? I dont know what else to do

Are you looking for a non-religious ceremony? I only ask because any Pastor/Reverend can perform weddings and I know there are Black churches in Boston but I'm not sure if you are seeking a non-denominational service? Or are they only willing to perform the ceremony in their own church?

I defintely want a religious ceremony but it would have to be offsite.

I understand. I would suggest perhaps checking with local churches. My future MIL is a ordained Pastor and I know she'd be willing to marry someone offsite but they would have to be church members OR agree to marriage counseling through the church. My former Pastor would marry just about anyone who loved and believed in God and wanted HIM in their union. So each place is different in terms of requiremens I believe. Boston can be a hard city for Blacks, my son's dad is from Dartmouth area and I used to truly hate having to go there to visit.
I hope you find someone. I wanted a Black Officiant as well but was told by the venue that's hosting our wedding it would be extra to "request" a particular minister. I said "So what, I'm jumping the broom and I want a Black Minister marrying me. Period." So I def. feel ya....
