Office Argument

Sooo ya'll I am extremely offended by GERMS...In my office I am the one that has the lysol, wipes, germ-x and all...So this woman that sits next to me in cubicle city smokes, has FIVE BIG HUGE DOGS in her house, Well she has brought her azz to work with.....PNEUMONIA....Due to surgery that I had in March I have a air purifier in my office....but she is around here coughing and gasping and she brought her nasty butt in my office to bring me something off the printer and was trying to show me something when she had a nasty azz coughing spell....I politely sprayed my lysol...YES while she was standing in my office....so she said HOW RUDE OF YOU TO SPRAY THAT WHILE I AM STANDING HERE....YES she was yelling at me...

So I stand my 5' 1.5" self up and tell her...I have every right to attempt to protect myself from getting sick. You are in MY office coughing and haciking spreading your germs all over my ionized air in my office. You can take those pneumonia infested papers with you and put them in your recycle bin and I will reprint. Who comes to work with pneumonia anyways?

By this time the supervisor has come into my office and was like "Ladies tone your voices down. what is going on?"

I let her talk first and once she got through he was like you need to submit leave and go home. You can't come back to work until you have a doctors notice...Mind you she just got back from Las Vegas Sunday. He asked her how long she'd been sick and she started crying talking about she got sick right before she left to go to Vegas.

So I am just getting back from HR...yes she went her butt upstairs to file a grievance and they called me and my supervisor up there...So in the end SHE WAS still sent home. Now the trustees are in her office sanitizing it...

Thats just it everyone KNOWS I am OCD with that crap..It wasn't like I sprayed it hard and long but I sprayed two little sprays because I just knew droplets of pneumonia was coming out her mouth...hence the paper she brought me off the printer being wet....Hell everytime I sneeze or coughed prior to having my surgery I sprayed lysol...so if I do it to myself your azz is not exempt.

I hope while she was in HR filing her little grievance, they gave her some sound advice:  When you're in the wrong, it's best to STFU!  lol  Now take dat azz on to da house! 


Oh, and P.S.  I can't WAIT to see what sultryzulu has to say about this post!  I'm laughing already!  Get 'em, B!

You did the right thing!  When somebody is that ill they don't need to have their arses at work infecting folks...especially with what she had, that is extremely contagious.
She needs to be at home...or better yet in a hospital!  Nasty ass!

Good for you for standing up for yourself.  Hopefully your immediate supervisor had your back on this as well.

OMG I'm with you I can't stand all of that! You were definitely right and she was dead wrong! We have a gross woman like that in our office. She lives alone, well except for her 2 cats who roam her counters and lick her cream cheese (yes she told us this). Our bosses are such PUNKS they never tell her to go home but she damn near hacks up a lung and spits in her trash can right at her desk!

She got her nerves! I Cant get with germs at ALL!!! I TOTALLY agree with you Casey all day! I'm so glad I work at home, with my mega, ultra air filter and my OWN damn toilet seat! She need to get her life and a damn shot of rocephin!

She is one of those causcasian women that just looks nasty like she is straight out of the TP....We often have pot luck in the office and I always look to see what container she brings because all the black people shun away from her food...LMBO!! 5 big dogs and I am sure she kisses all of them...one of the just had surgery not too long ago and she was in the office crying like a child died....my supervisor told her she was cray cray LMBO!

Omg! Sound just like my job! I work for  a local children's hospital and my coworkers talk about me coming in the door and before I can say "hello" already wiping down my phone, computer, wrist rest, chair. They call me a germ freak but my boss allowed a lady in the front office of my department to come to work and this lady has shingles. I've never had chickenpox and want avoid getting it now over 30. Another coworker came in last week with this funky red rash on his arm(it looked like poison ivy) and thought it was funny to post a pic on FB and tagged me in it, claiming he was sitting at my desk. His  arm looked so disgusting that he was sent home. The first ever in my department. He did not care because he posted pictures that night at a baseball game. I also have a few coworkers that have cold sores and how can I explain to my husband after all these years of dating and getting married about getting a cold sore now. He would be wondering who the heck was I kissing.
