The world didn't give it and the world can't take it away!
Ya'll know I've posted a few vents in the past couple of weeks. Things were adding up: mama being negative, parents inviting the whole church, my nephew being a monster and everyone saying he shouldn't be in the wedding, funky acting bridesmaid...Well it was starting to get me down. I haven't had any stress with the planning itself just those closest to me making me unhappy. I'm like God this is supposed to be the happiest time of my life and its starting to suck!
Well God has let me know that through it all I still have JOY!
1. With no discussion from me, my mother paid my best friend a visit who works at Dillard's and purchased the hostess dress we had picked out for my niece. I was waiting for my next check and she called and said don't worry it was covered.
2.Talked to my Dad and he told me more about not to stress about adding anymore church people. They are going to throw us an informal reception a few weeks after the wedding for the church and those family friends who simply couldn't make the trip to the wedding.
3.Also talked to my Dad about my nephew. He said he's just really bad when my niece is watching him because he doesn't like to listen to her since she isn't an adult. I went through the same thing with my brother and my Dad said he used to do the same thing with his sister. He said my nephew will be fine.
4.I needed an oil change, again was waiting on the next check. Got a letter in the mail today from the dealership. It's owner appreciation month and all I need to do is call and set up an appointment for a complimentary oil change and filter.
5.Boss approached me on Friday about a special assignment with extra pay opportunities
6. As far as the bridesmaid drama, I have given that over to God. See above examples for results!
I mean do ya'll see God?! He gave me my wonderful FI and He is not going to let anyone or anything steal my joy surrounding our union! I am so grateful for this revelation! I love how Kirk Franklin worded it "See I don't want you to just be Happy because then you gotta have something HAPPEning. I want you to have JOY because can't nobody take that from you."
