Destination Brides.... Party At Home

Any of you all getting married else where and then have a reception/party back at home?
What program do you plan to have for the back home event?

I am at a loss and needs some ideas

Ours was technically "destination" so something back home would be in Miami or Houston. We're not doing anything. you missed it look at the wonderful pics.

But you could do just a cookout

This will be for about 150 folks and I am allergic to the great outdoors lol No cookout for me lol Thanks though

Well when I say "cookout" I guess I mean "casual"

Are you trying to recreat the entire wedding day for all 150 ppl? or is it more them recieving you home?

You could always rent a room at a local hotel and just bring in bbq/jamaican food/etc and have a casual gathering.

We will be renting a space to have the party don't 150 folks in our house lol It will be finger food cake and licca Not trying to recreate the wedding The wedding is for family mostly This is for those who could not or did not get invited to the wedding The wedding list is small less than 80 if I have my way

I haven't planned to have anything at home...just in Vegas... I think u could have a nice get together.. but nothing fancy...but I guess it depends on what u want... r u thinking of wearing your dress there.. or something different?

I think there are sooo many places around here that you can just rent out and have a nice party... and make it a theme or something.. that will make it fun.. but not recreating the wedding

I'm having a very small wedding (12 people) In March 2013. About a month later, we plan to host a reception for all those (church members & FI's family members) who were not invited. I'm trying to talk FI out of doing it at our home, but I'm loosing the battle... :-(
