Bridal Garden credit- still available?

Hello, I haven't properly introduced myself yet, but have been lurking for a while now. I am getting married July 2010 and have been engaged since last fall. A while ago I saw someone post that they have a credit at the Bridal Garden they are trying to sell as they bought another dress elsewhere. I just purchased my dress from there, so if you still have the credit available, or know who was offering it so I can contact them, please let me know! Otherwise, I'm happy to finally make my first post and appreciate all the great advice you didn't realize you were giving me. :)

I think it was tcook212 and she found out they wouldn't trasfer it so she ordered a dress and is going to try to sell it. I am almost positive it was her. You might want to page her. Welcome to the boards :)

Thank you very much! I noticed on the invoice it said "no transfers" so I was curious if it was even possible. I appreciate your help!

I think karebear is correct. She bought a dress that she is going to sell once it gets in.

welcome to the board.  Yes, it was me with the credit.  Unfortunately, I was forced to uprchase a dress or forfeit it.  You are correct that the credit is not transferrable but I originally was going to buy a dress on a bride's behalf so technically, there was no "transfer."  It was just hard to explain it that way.  I have already ordered a dress-a Melissa Sweet Luella in a standard size 8.  It's a short dress probably most appropriate for a beach wedding or as a second reception dress.  As for my experience with the Bridal Garden, check out FB post for the full details.  I hope your experience turns out better than mine.  And just a small piece of advice-read the contract carefully as it says final payment for your dress is due 10 days prior to the estimated arrival date.  So in essence, you will have to pay for your dress in full before you even see it.  That screams business cash flow issue to me.  I truly hope all goes well and it's a good experience for you.  GL!

Thank you for your help! It's hard to know if you're going to have a good experience with a store or vendor, so here's hoping I do. I've been there a couple times looking and thankfully had a wonderful experience each time. I know they have a new owner (maybe within the last 6 months?) and she introduced herself to me and I told her that her store was lovely but I was also nervous being there as I've heard mixed reviews. She assured me that she was going to step up the service levels...so we shall see! Reading all of your vendor reviews has been REALLY helpful so I will be sure to share mine. It's also nice to see where my fellow July brides are in the planning process... there is so much to do, but I think I have made good progress. We have our venue, DOC, photo booth, photographer, DJ/MC and now, my dress. Dang, I also bought a Melissa Sweet, but it is a long dress. I am not part of the FB group yet, but will join! Thank you for the warm welcome! :)
