    10.  When did you get engaged and how did he do it?? Got engaged in 09. I would've loved to say it was this big surprise or extravagant thing, but it was the total opposite. FI and i had talked marriage for quite sometime and we both knew it was in our future. So on my birthday, he just said, "lets go pick out ur ring." I was like "huh? as in today, as in we're getting married?" and then he said "yep, your gonna be my wife." It was just so weird and i was sooo not expecting it . LOL....We laugh about it now. It doesnt help that he is not Mr. Romantic AT ALLL! :( But i love him so.

I wish some of my family members from home would be able to attend.

    18. Another knottie wedding you'd like to attend? chescam, hatroopes, BluIvory and so manyyy others. I LOVEE weddings

    19. Favorite book? Honestly, i'm not a big reader. Its a mystery how i got thru school

    21. Favorite tv show? King of Queens, and damn near allll the reality tv shows. I'm a reality tv junkie

    22. Favorite wedding dress designer? Vera Wang (cliche, but i LOVE her designs, but not so much her prices)

    23. Any advice you can give? Communication and Patience are EVERYTHING. Not just in relationships but in sooo many aspects of life. During this time of planning i've realllllyy had to exercise patience, otherwise i would've been in a psych ward by now.

    24. Anything you wish you could change about your wedding? Believe it or not, my venue.---- and my colors. LOL

    25. Share something about yourself!!
I am a twin. I have an older brother and an older sis. My twin and i are the youngest in the fam (well, my twin is 2 minutes younger than me). My family is my EVERYTHINGGG!!! WOW!  Very nice to meet you Tunu.  Your name is very unique.  What does it mean?  I'm really nerdy when it comes to names and meanings being that that was how I grew to love my own name.
I'm going to google the city where you are from too.  What age did you move to the U.S.?

Aww, thanks lady. LOL, i always wondered why i dont like reading while my twin LOVESSS to read, and so does everybody else in my family.
I didnt go through with four weddings because i think i just got scared. Like the thought of other people judging my day and criticising every detail that i put my heart into just didnt seem to sit well with me. So i decided against it. Oddly enough, FI was very interested in it.

    Heyy Carla!

I think when we decided on an October wedding, we decided to go with the more "autumn-ish" typical colors. As i look at more and more weddings i loveee purple weddings. I also like pink and grey, creams and whites. But its ok, we'll make it work and it'll be beautiful!!

Love your name and its meaning.  Your engagement story sounds a lot like mine.  LOL!  My FH just said "It's time.  Let's do this." and said let's get your ring.  I still told him I want my "official" proposal sometime before the wedding.

What type of venue did you get?  I had seen this awesome NJ mansion on Platinum Weddings a while back and thought "wow".  I know it must have cost a fortune but it made for a fantastic day for the bride and groom.

How cool you were interviewed for Four Weddings! Yes the AA Knottie's def would've rooted for you. You said you made the first move to attract your FI. What did you do? Did you use a slick line like "your feet must be tired because you been running through my mind all day!" LOL j/k

Thanks hun! I hope you get the proposal you want!

There are sooo many beautiful venues in NJ, they just cost hella money! The venue we chose is beautiful, but i think the thing thats throwing me off is the grounds. However, i think with the wedding being in fall, it'll look much prettier because of the leaves and stuff. I'm probably just being too paranoid.

HAHAAAA...Oh God no!! LOL...I hope no man or woman still uses that line.

FI kept to himself A LOT. I always thought he was cute but was too shy to approach him. So finally one day we were both in the library and he was in a cubicle that had a computer and a study area. It was FINALS week so every computer was taken. So i peeked and noticed he wasnt using his computer. He was just studying. So i knocked and explained no computers were available could i use that one. He was very polite and said ofcourse. So i went in and started doing my work...i was so nervous - LOL so silly. Then i asked his name and then introduced myself. We started small talk and he was so intrigued that i was from Africa. I knew he was interested the next time we saw each other and he started telling me facts abt where i was from. He did research. LOL. I was smitten from then on.

    Posted by PrettyCW5[/QUOTE]

Thanks Pretty. Thats the exact reason why my favorite vendor is my florist - - because i know NOTHING about flowers! I'm not a big flower person at all. Even FI knows not to buy me flowers because i dont really value them. They're pretty to look at and when arranged right they can look extremely beauitful. So with that in mind, i went to him not even having a vision. He described to me what he could do and made it all come together. When i went to see the mockups - i was EXTREMELYYY pleased! I hope that wow factor will still be the same on the day of.
