Bridal shower (small recap w/pic)

My bridal shower was Saturday at Liberty House in Jersey City, New Jersey which is a Marina area. It was beautiful with a Sex and The City Theme. They had a candy bar for favors and gift boxes shaped like purses with favor tags with a photo with my FH and I on it.

They (my bridesmaids) created a photo book that had pictures of us from dance school around 10 years old, then high school, college and beyond. It had pictures of our trips to PR, Hawaii, Brazil, Vegas, Aruba, Jamaica, LA, Disney World, Atlantic City....I didn't realize we traveled so much together. Everyone loved the photobook and I'm actually taking it to our destination wedding.

They also had blocks made with photos of my FH and I. At the end of the shower they announced that the night wasn't over and I was off to my bachelorette party. They got me a room at the Hyatt in Jersey City equipped with a breakfast voucher. All my friends came to the room and we had a pleasure party. They gave $100 to buy adult toys and I spent all of it. We brought over $500 worth of adult toys, lol!. My Maid and Matron of Honor spent the night and it was sweet and fun.

I was so in the moment I didn't get to take many photos. I have to wait for everyone to send me theirs but here's a few.

I love it.... and I love the idea of the bachellorette party being the same day... maybe I should do the same. My girls live out of state so that might work out...

Yeah, they came through big time. I'm the second to last to get married and I assisted with planning all of their weddings. They later told me how creative they were: they got the hotel using frequent flyer miles, cost $0, they got a business room which included a free voucher for breakfast, cost $0, the lady that came for the pleasure party works off commission only. She wanted a minimum of $20 per person. So they gave me $100 to spend but other people ended up buying things so that cost them the $100 they spent on me. I was impressed with their prowess.
I loved how they each dressed like a cast member from sex and the city and we played a sex and the city trivia game, which I won but I was excluded from getting a prize. The prizes were bottles of wine (from trader Joes) with our engagement photo on it. It was truly special and I loved all the details.
