NWR: Warning: This question may be considered rated PG or R.

Ok, perhaps I should go to The Nest for this one, but I think some of you ladies may be able to suggest something.  For those of you with children in the home:  how do you accomplish love-making with kids in the house?  DH and I just received custody of his youngest daughter (who's almost 17) a few days ago, and I have been on pins and needles about this.  I mean, I haven't been around teenagers or children since I was a teenager/child myself, and I've lived alone for more than 15 years, so I haven't had to deal with roommates, etc. I was looking forward to being able to be spontaneous, but looks like that's out the window now.

We''ve only been married for about a month and even though we knew that we would probably have her living with us somewhere down the road (at least 6 months out), we weren't prepared for getting her this soon!

Oh yea, and Valentine's Day is Monday!

Help!!!

Wow...17..thats tough. Its not like you can pull the old 'wait til she goes to bed' trick.  However, her being 17 could work in your favor.

Obviously, if she's home, you'll have to be super careful...and quiet..and behind locked doors. But there's nothing wrong with a quickie in the shower or in the bedroom. As long as you're discreet (and quiet) about it, she'll never know.

The fact that she's 17, I doubt she'll be in the house all the time. There will be many nights she's on a date, out with friends, sleepovers, etc. Take FULL advantage of those times!

I hope someday she'll start going out and hanging out with friends more but right now she's about 35 miles from her nearest friend, and no one of them have a car, no public transit in my area, etc.  Hopefully she'll make some friends at her new school quickly so she can enjoy the teenage life more.  Now, if only her Daddy will let her go.......she's the baby girl and has had a tough time lately.  Right now our focus is to provide her some emotional stability.

I just wish the house wasn't so small......LOL!

We're off on Saturday/Sunday.  I think once things settle down (I hope soon!) she'll probably go visit an aunt or her "grammy" on some weekends.  But what's a girl to do until then???!!!

Wow! I guess I am a mess so please don't pay me any attention but what is the problem with getting your groove on in the house in your room when she is there? I mean do do it on the couch while she is sitting there watching American idol but if you are in your room I don't see what the problem is especially if you are not the break the head board scream to Jesus type.

I am sorry i don't have any teenagers but i was once a teenager and I knew my parents were getting it on (Not together but still getting it on)

LMAO.... I can now see where the problem lies.  Hopefully she meets a lot of friends so that you can comfortably make love to your DH.

LOL at your confession... too funny!   Um ... I agree, y'all are just gonna have to become a water loving couple and get some cookies in the shower.  I mean thankfully for us the MBR is downstairs, kids rooms are upstairs.  ----Cookies in the Shower, that can be fun but dont slip!!Wink
