Maids of Honor?

What are everyone's thoughts on having two maids of honor?  I have two best girlfriends (the three of us have been best friends since... forever).  I was originally just going to ask one since the other will be out of the country until right before the wedding but I'd really love to have both.  Has anyone seen multiple maids of honor?  Did it change anything or look strange?  I can't really think of any reason NOT to have two...  TIA!!

I don't think it's weird, but I should say I am having both my sisters be MOHs and I'm making my future SIL stand on the groom's side, so I don't really think anything is weird.  Personally, though, I am untraditional.

Thanks! I should also say that FI will have two of his female friends stand on his side - so I guess we're throwing tradition out the window anyway :)

I have two MOH too, so not wierd. FI has two best men. I would have to say my best friend really acts as my only maid of honor though, but it works out well because my sister lives up in bellingham and doesn't know any of my friends.

I wanted to add (FI came to my office to pick me up, so it was awkward to continue writing with him hovering) that I think both your best friends will be so honored, so who cares :)  It will be great if it's what you want!  AND... I'm glad I'm not the only one with females on the groom's side!

I don't think it's weird. If you have been a trio of best friends since childhood, then what would be weird would be to pick one over the other. :D

3 BM's here, no MOH.  Do whatever works for you.  Just make sure you put them in touch with each other so they can work out any parties they may want to plan (i.e. shower/b-party).  And have a clear idea of who you'd like to do what on the day of, like stand next to you, sign the license, whatever.Mine all know each other and have kindof naturally divvied things up.  The local one offered to plan parties, a faraway one offered to help with BM dress shopping (online) and talk planning.

I don't think it's weird. If one's married you could make one matron of honor and the other maid of honor if you really, really care. And, I didn't have a MOH, we didn't even have a WP. Do what works for you!

My sister has never married and she is my maid of honor, my best friend has been and she is my matron of honor.  Shared duties.  And I wouldn't change it.

I am having 2. One is the matron of honor and one is the maid of honor. The matron of honor is really good at martha stewart type stuff so she is heading up the bridal shower and the Maid of honor is a party girl so she's taking care of the hen night.
