Ok so I printed all of our address onto the envelopes...

Now I am not sure should what to do with the inner enevelopes.- Should I print the names or handwrite them?

We ran the envelopes through the printer with a cursive font we found on www.dafont.com. It was really easy and we had zero jamming problem with our printer, but I know others have had their printers jam on them.

I blurred stuff out instead of crossing it out so that's why parts might be blurry.

We printed the return address on the back.

My only complaint was that my FI chose to print ALL OF THEM while I was gone and I wish the text filled more of the envelope. But I'm trying hard not to be too picky.

ETA: Apparently I'm an idiot and didn't read your original question correctly! I don't have inner envelopes so I'm no help, sorry!

  • Meagan we did the same thing as you for our outer envelopes and had no issues.  I just am not sure about the inner envelopes now.  Do we keep it constant and run it through the printer or do we hand write them?

  • The lady who we purchased our stationary through has a printer for envelopes so we are using that.  If we had to do them ourselves I would probably do them by hand but mostly because I hate printing on envelopes at work and they always seem to jam on me.  It sounds like you are having luck with your printer so why not try and see if you can do that if it saves time and effort.

  • Yeah I agree if it worked fine with your home printer I would just do that. Unless you absolutely love your hand-writing. I hate mine.

  • We're having the outside envelopes printed then we're hand writing first names on the inner envelope. We figured it was more personal writing on the inside.

For single peeps: Ms. Jenny Jones on the outside. Then I'll write 'Jenny and guest' on the inner.

Married peeps: Mr. and Mrs. Smith on the outside. Then 'Sally and John' on the inside.

  • Ooo Meagan that's a very nice font! Where did you get it?
  • Thanks, Nati! It's Jellyka Western Princess from www.dafont.com

  • We have inner envelops and the band that is holding the envelops together specifically say not to print on the envelope and the place where we purchased the invitations said the same, so we are not. I guess it is a personally preference. I tried printed one through the printer but it wouldn't feed through. Good luck!
