Washington-Seattle

So, i went wedding dress shopping today,

&& i found my perfect dress. I'm absolutely in love. The problem: it's way more than i budgeted. it's $1,050 and i can only afford about $500. It's Jovi by Maggie Sottero & I don't think i'll be happy with anything else. :(

Is there any type of payment plan? Pay half now, half when it comes in? That's what I got to do with my dress. I ordered it in Aug, and it's coming in next month, so I had some time to collect the rest.

try ordering from a reputable internet retailer.  you'll probably get a better price and will not have to pay state sales tax.i have heard that pearl's place and chrissy O have both gotten good reviews.  when i was searching, pearl's place quoted me about half the price of a local store for a particular marisa dress.

If you have time, you could wait and see if any pop up used on ebay or preownedweddingdress.com in your size. Or you can go to one of the well-reviewed online bridal shops (try pearl's place) and see if they have it in your size.

Ditto PPs.  Chrissy O will beat out other retailers (they're based in NJ if I recall) but have a good reputation and check places like oncewed.com, agrandwedding, ebay, etc. you could find a used one for a decent price.  Heck: http://www.oncewed.com/19261/gowns-for-sale/maggie-sottero/jovi/size-8/ Even though it's a couple hundred more than your budget, she might be willing to negotiate and the dress is in Sumner.

I second Pearl's Place - we got all our BM dresses there and it was way cheaper plus they are located in Louisiana (an actual brick and mortar store) so you don't have to pay sales tax.  The customer service was great and the dresses came in earlier than they quoted.  It's definitely worth giving them a call to check it out (however I think I heard before from someone that most retailers aren't able to give a huge discount on Maggie's due to manufacturers restrictions).

What a bummer! Luckily there are a bunch of different things you can do to get the dress cheaper. If that 8 would fit you, I would definately look into that. There are so many options. You can find it in your price range (or a little above). Good luck. Sending good vibes your way!
