Re: I love my Chihuahua- Other ppl stuff

  • Lol!!! I think including pets is cute, but your friends are right, I've only seen other people do that. But maybe you can start a trend...?
  • I say do it! Your dog is small enough! I wouldn't worry about people saying WE don't do that. If my babies were smaller and well behaved they would SO be in it. My brother wants to be in the wedding so bad so FI suggested he walk the dogs down and our girl stands on my side and our boy on his side. Oh how I would love it.

Alternatives, i've seen cake toppers with bride and groom plus doggie on Etsy.

    I heart my fur babies!

  • lol J.  treating your dog like she's human is some other ppl stuff.    this is really just my opinion but  there's a time and a place and a wedding is neither.   some of your guests may be allergic and/or afraid.   I had a caramel cockapoo so I say the following as a former furmom - it bothers me a lot to see somebody with a pet somewhere they're not "supposed" to be.  you ever wanna see me straight lose my shyt, bring your dog into the starbucks where I am.   I get the love, really but not only would other people not have gotten nor cared how much I love my dog, I don't think I would've been brave enough to have him around me in the most expensive dress I own.

@ matching wardrobe and walking her in heels, girl you are that diva.
  • FI has a dog, and I just won't have it at the wedding...he brought that up and I'm like ummm no, plus, she is a barker and is not people friendly if she doesn't know you....

I have only seen other people do it. I say if you both want her to be a part, then do it! PP make a good point however; I'm very afraid of any dogs (get bitten really bad before) and it takes me a few visits to get used to a dog. I would honestly be paying a lot of attention to the dog than you and your FI due to being scared. That's just me. But maybe your group will love it!

lol I love how real yall keep it. I got such a sideye for even bringing it up with my mom but FI says he's fine with her coming to the ceremony (she's not a barker and just lays around with me)

i like the cake topper idea! MY planner suggested including her in some engagement pictures and just having that....

sigh i love my little Honeybun!

<div>THIS! As a person who is quite adverse to animals, there would be some major side eye action going on.  All people don't like dogs, believe it or not, and if I saw a dog at a wedding, I probably wouldn't stay very long at all, IMHO.</div><div>
</div><div>If you know that most of your guests wouldn't mind then it may not be a big deal.</div>
