Know anything about Vistaprint magnets?

I'm thinking about designing STD with our picture and monogram and making them into magnets. I have never uploaded an image with them. Any pointers? I don't really have any fancy programs to design it in. Also, where do you find enevelopes to fit the large magnets? TIA

I know that I am about to order mine. I read that if you convert your file to a PDF it works the best. There are ways to do it for free I think so I'm going to google it (or ask my brother to do it for me). I designed mine in PowerPoint. Totally not fancy. I think you can order envelopes with your magnets, but they will say the dimensions of them on the site. Just take that & see which standard size envelope fits. I'm doing the little magnets, so I can't really help you other than that.

I thought I saw an option on there to order envelopes for like $5 that fit whatever you are ordering.Jennyann- hurry up and order so I can see how it looks. I was thinking of designing mine in powerpoint also but I'm so computer iliterate. I might need some help.

Jennyann- that is so freaking adorable. My only thing is how do you know how big to do it so that it fits what they want? Do you use the whole paper and they just scale it down to size?? Thats what I'm worried about.. I really want to see what they look like once you get the actual item from vista print. I've heard about somepeople's being really pixelated (is that a word??)

I need to find out about the size. When I made it, I made it the exact size of the magnet (2x3.5) so that I could make sure the fonts were readable that small and stuff. Hey- who is your caterer? Because if it is Browns, I'm not going to try to go to the open house tasting this weekend, lol.

Thanks for the info! I am using Brown's (I'm not sure if you were talking to me or Sara). Good luck. I'll keep you posted on pointers, I've upload my card from ppt and converted it and it says the image resoultion is too low. I don't know how to fix it. Any suggestions? How's yours going?
