Ice Sculptures

Hey Ladies I just wanted to know if any of you ladies were having an ice sculpture or had one at your wedding. I really want one but I don't know if they are a waste of money. Also for you ladies that did have an ice sculpture how did you have to kick out for it? This one website that I went said their prices started at 950- 4500. If did decide to get one I don't think that I would be able to afford that price.. So what do you ladies think?

Re: Ice Sculptures

  • i think that's alot of money for an ice sculpture.  I think its a very nice unique touch though

I love ice sculptures that have a purpose like one that is filled with seafood or is used to pour liquor for drinks. I would imagine that unless you know someone that they tend to be pretty expensive. Its a great idea but again if it actually has a purpose, an ice sculpture to just sit there would be waste of money.

  • We are having one displayed during cocktail hour but i'm no helpy because it was a freebie they threw in for us. I do think 950 is a lot though

  • I don't like ice sculptures that dont serve a purpose , I think its such a waste of money that you could put towards something else

  • Ours run $300-$650. It will be displayed during cocktail hour. You have to walk up a grand stair case to our venue and they sit it right at the top. It adds a nice touch. I do like the kind that you can pour drinks into/out of. When we went to preview night at our venue they had a projector showing a slideshow onto the ice sculpture. It was pretty sweet.

I also like the ones that you can pour drinks into. But after looking around on other websites I did find some around the 300-600 range which is way better than 900. Plus I do think that they do add a nice and FI knows how bad I really want one but I just wanted to make sure it wasn't a waste of money but if I can get a good price for one the I might just go ahead and get one..
