Did the caterer really just ask me

what day my function is?  ARE YOU SERIOS! It is in 30 days did you really not know? Tell me it was just a slip cause you are busy or something I will happily get my deposit back and cook myself!!!!!(Not really, like I have the time)

When we were scheduling a tasting, one of the caterers asked if she should cook it at her apartment and bring it to us or if she should bring the ingredients and cook it at our house... WTF?!?!!?!?

Its SO hard to find good help these days LOL

@TinaMM - Breathe hon. They will come through. Just breathe. They probably just don't always know the dates of functions without looking at the calendar. Now breathe again...I know that would have caught me off guard too. LOL...we hear our wedding date and for a second it is the only thing we can process. Everyone else...not so much. What are you serving? Yes, I'm hungry...I'm on a diet.

@ TamTam - LOL...Actually, I have come to realize that many caterers consider this to be a "service"...people actually pay for in-home tastings. I was new to it until I called around to the caterers in my area.

Yes that was for you...sorry. I saw the icon and didn't read the name. I guess I was moving too fast. I agree with you...I found it weird too, but I guess some people would use the service as a private dinner when they wanted to have an intimate evening in...why they would think it transfers over into the tasting world, IDK. Does your caterer have an office or catering facility or does he/she cater from home?

Well, I believe she caters from home, but no matter.... We asked for proof of her license & insurance and she ran. Guess it wasn't a respectable business.... Oh, well. Back to the drawing board....
