Need some advice here!!!

So as most of you knw my colors have been Plum Purple, Silver with some Lavender somewhere....eitherway...one of FI friends is planning their wedding and their using Lavender, Silver and i think some Ivory (W/E thats fine its no big deal) but now another friend of ours is getting married and they want us both in the wedding (THATS COOL) but they are using my same colors.... Now the thing is we wont have the same ceremony/reception site and we wont have the same vendors/decor nor the same guests but its going to be in the same year should i use the same colors or just drop those colors and try something different????

It's up to you. If you are emotionally attached to the colors then I would keep them because there are ALWAYS a different way to show the same colors. How were you planning on using the colors? It's all about your spin.

I chose to be totally different from anybody. I chose Navy, Fuschia and Pewter. NOBODY I know has used that at all.

Those are some beautiful colors (I LIKES) and im using my colors totally different then her like my girls dresses wont be the same neither will the tuxs be the same so i guess it will all look just fine...unless i find some other colors between now and then that catch my eye LOL

Didnt they know these are your colors ? I agree with pp still keep them and put your own spin on it. I think it would be neat for yall to use the same colors yall can help each other do comparisons...this could be a good thing !

Well ill admit they didnt knw my colors until after they told me theirs but idk i may still keep my colors (IVE BEEN IN LOVE WITH THOSE COLORS FOR A WHILE NOW) so we will c how this goes..

I'm in the minority.... I'm just that person that doesn't want anything about my wedding to seem like "oh she got that from sucha and such" , especially if they are in the same circle as me.

I would change my colors.

But if you love them step the game up on them!

I thought about that like changing my whole color scheme but i just cant think of what colors i really want to use for example another good friend of mine used fuschia and black (Beautiful) but those would have been colors i would have used and although i like the navy, yellow and silver i dont want it to look soooo nautical...so that brings me back to my main colors (WHICH I THINK IM STICKING TO THAT BECAUSE HE AND I BOTH AGREED WE LIKE THEM AND ITS SOOO HARD TO GET HIM REALLY INVOLVED BUT HE WAS COOL WITH THEM COLORS VS ANY OTHER LOL)

Basically, I'm using the bright color for pop only in decor.

Well im sticking with August 2014 (AND I KNW I HAVE TIME IM JUST TRYING TO GET IT ALL TOGETHER) but i was gonna put my BM'S in Plum and my MOH in Lavender (to kinda make them look a lil different) with the GM in the Silver with the Plum vest and of course the FG in white with plum

Could you MOH also be in Plum with a different style dress and all your decor be more lavender and silver?  Just a thought.

I just this 1 person in a different color will stick out a lot when you're thinking about pics. Unless you have more than 1 MOH.

I have two MOH and the dresses are the same but you can style them differently (ITS CALLED THE INFINITY DRESS) so they will all be able to put their own style on the dresses they all will be the same material, long just styled differently at the top and i was gonna use more plum in the decor bcause the 1st couple is only using Lavender in her wedding

me personally i would not be changing my colors 

but my colors are the same as yours but i am doing pink not lavender 

i love my colors.. my aka moh who is anti pink is trying to get me to change my colors to the school colors which, is where we are getting married, school colors are crimson and gold... 

NERP purple, sliver and pink it is... 

its my day and i will have the colors i want and i dont care who else has those colors... 

but thats me...

and @ thedivav yea thats what i was thinking like whatever itll be my day and my venue done in my style and taste so it should be ok i dont think i want to change them bsides ive done all my planning and picking for those colors im not tryna see any others lol

If you feel like those are your colors then stick with it. There is definitely nothing wrong with that. However, me personally, I would do opposite with what my friends were doing. For instance...I really wanted black and red but it's been done so many times. So, to stick with the classiness of black...I choose a dark gray/charcoal/pewter. Yellow became my inspiration because I'm a happy person, plus it's a bold color like red. And that's how I came up with the yellow and gray.

Now, my other idea was to do navy yellow and pewter but it was hard for me to bring it together to not make it nautical like what you are saying. If you like navy/dark blue then you can add the plum and lavender to it with touches of silver in the jewelry and/or dinnerware.

I say you can still keep your colors..BUT definitely put a spin on it like Case said and keep the change to yourself.. Wait until after their weddings and then you can still have the uniqueness you want.

There are always colors that someone else will have, but it doesn't mean the way they are interpreted will be the same.

Your colors are close to mine. I'm doing lemon and lavender with some silver accents. I agree with the other ladies. If you're in love with your colors, I would stick to them and put your own spin on how you use them.

Thanks ladies..im sure the weddings wont be alike in anyway and thankfully im the last to get hitched so ill see theres and do bigger and better (depending on how my money is looking LOL)

I feel you. Pink,purple & silver are my colors also. I am emotionally attached to my colors. Pink is my favorite color and i always dreamed of having a pink wedding dress. Purple is his favorite plus he's an Omaga man. <div>
