Diet Rituals Leading 2 the big day...

Hey Ladies,

What type of dieting is everyone doing to look uber-fab in their wedding gowns? I recently did whats called "the bead diet" and i lost 30lbs in like 1.5 months for my friends wedding. I went off the diet for the summer but i am back on today. The diet is kind of strict but the results are fantastic. I've struggled with my weight pretty much all of my adult life and I finally found something that works for me and will make the weigh come off and stay off.

If anyone is interested please let me know and I'll show you the website. I don't get anything for referring anyone I just LOVE this diet bc it works {even if you need to lose those last 15lbs before your next fitting}

    The 1st time I tried it it KILLED me too...i never knew how dependent my body was on sugars and carbs

    the site is www.accuweight.com I personally go to one of the office in Nj b/c that's where i live but they do have a long distance program {people in Ireland even do it} b/c it's THAT good.

    Here are the basics so you get the jist

    no eating before 12noon
    no eating after 6pm
    must drink 1/2 of your total body weight on oz of a water per day
    unlimited diet juices and sodas

    now here is the part that you might hate but it's the science of the diet

    you're on a 2 day system

    2 days milk
    2 days fruits and veggies

    it rotates every two days. on milk days you can ONLY have 20oz of milk {drinking coffee with milk, milkshakes, 10.oz of plain yogurt

    Trust me it sounds CRAZY and it is BUT it works ladies it REALLY works. People at work stop me all the time asking how the heck did i do it.

    Thanks for sharing!  So on the fruit/veggie days, that's all you eat?  And on the milk days, all you do is drink milk or can you eat anything dairy?

    I can definitely see losing weight with all of that water consumption and only a few hours to eat per day.  When I stopped eating after 6:30pm (last year - I'm definitely not doing this now!) I lost several pounds.

    So for the water - if I weigh 160, then I need to drink at least 80 oz of water each day - correct?

    For the wedding I am really just watching what I eat in terms of - less bread, less sweets, and no pop.  I am also working out 5-6 days a week with FI at different classes and doing weight training/cardio.

    I may incorporate the limited hours for eating b/c that will help me lose this last 5 lbs.

    I have been eating healthier and taking classes at the YMCA and doing some jogging outside since it is getting nicer.  I'm hoping to lose 10 -15 lbs before the wedding.

    So on the fruit/veggie days, that's all you eat?

    2 whole cups of fruit on fruit & veggie days along with 1.5 lbs of veggies {salad, steamed, boiled, bakes braised broiled} {PAM is allowed}

    And on the milk days, all you do is drink milk or can you eat anything dairy?
    On milk days you can have 10oz of whole milk & 10oz of whole plain yogurt {that you can mix with different things to flavor it up}

    So for the water - if I weigh 160, then I need to drink at least 80 oz of water each day - correct? Yes that's correct. And ANYTHING decaffeniated counts toward your water consumption {like i drink decaf tea with splenda or truvia and it counts toward my water intake or i'll have those sugar free flavored water packets to give it taste {LOVE the ocean spray ones}

    Don't get me wrong the milk days are intense but those are the days when you burn all that fat. {i'm on milk day#1 and i FEEL it...i just went to macys herald square with a co-worker and watched her order shrimp scampi and i bought a diet dr pepper lol} no will power is needed but never in my life have i done a diet that made me drop the weight so fast and i FEEL healthier.

    A lot of clients have no more diabetes, ulcers, hypertension and....SLEEP APNEA...

    Check out Walden Farms products b/c they are ALL allowed on this diet. You can make milkshakes with like 4oz milk, marshmallow dip and caramel syrup and it's yummo!

    Sorry this post got really long but I know all too well the stresses of dieting

    Thanks so much A&M!!   That is great info and I will definitely try to incorporate more water and more fruits/veggies in my diet.  I also need to stop eating dinner so late - FI will eat dinner at 11pm and think it's no big deal.  He is also naturally thin and I think he'd have to eat like 20,000 big macs to even gain 1 lb.  So I'm not paying him any attention and I will focus on what works for my body.  Thanks again!

    I have a few questions...if you don't mind... What was your starting weight before you lost the 30 lbs? After you stoppped the diet did you maintain the loss? If not how much weight did you regain and how soon? Thanks.

    Oh and is it 20oz of milk for the entire 2 days and the only other thing you can consume is water during those 2 days?

    Oh lawd you want me to put my weigh on front street LOL its no problem. I was 318 when I started {keep in mind I am 5'11} and I weighed 278 at my last weigh in before I stopped completely. Last night when I went back {after a 4 month hiatus} I weighed in at 297 so I gained 10lbs back which isn't great but considering the food consumption I had during the summer I was pleased with a +10 vs a +20 weight gain.

    No it's 20oz on each milk day. You can consume water, tea, coffee, diet sodas the ONLY time you may use a percentage of your milk in ounces in your tea or coffee is during that 12-6 timeframe. But the other beverages you can consume 24/7 including these frozen treats called skinny dipper they're flavored and they're GREAT.

    The one component i left out on this are the BEADS. I have beads attached behind both ears that I have to rub/rotate every two hours. The beads are attached by a band aid {the do not move even in showering} and is the essential part of this diet because it's all about accupressure. The beads {when rubbed} are connected to yoru hypothalamus glands which controls our hunger. This is the only way one can do this diet and succeed. If you don't have beads to rub you will be one hungry person

    Wow!! The bead diet may make me really mean!!  Well, with two weeks left, I am drinking even more water, more veggies and fruit (I may juice a few days) and excercise.  If all fails....Spanx here I come!!  LOL

    A&M - I have 2 co-workers who are doing the diet you are talking about.  Here in Dallas, it is called in Sandkhin(??) diet.  Each of them lost about 30 pounds last month.   They say it is hard, but it is doable.   They did not do any exercise execpt walk around the block a few times.

    I am tempted but I felt I could spend the $150 weekly visits on something wedding related.  The choices we make  . . .

    The master cleanse will make you murder yourself or someone else.  It is VERY hard.  I would rather be fat! LOL. Its nasty and you starve to death!  I am not condoning anything, but my SIL took phentermine 3 months before her wedding. She went from 170 to 123.  I usually take it before vacation and usually lose alot and eat whatever I want.  Also, I do a 14 day acai berry cleanse. It helps the stomach flatten out.  Lots of water and walking.  The Phentermine actually gives me energy so I usually end up working out a lot, and I hate to work out.
